The same reason Vardy has one.
-
Unless , like Vardy, he has a 20 million release clause! And of course RK would know all about that!
-
Thought they were after cillisen? Everton are the new West Ham! Also what's RK doing isn't he gardening?
-
If that's the sticking point then Everton must be desperate for one or more of our players?
-
This just about sums up everything that is wrong with Football! Rejoicing the fact that some random is coming in and smashing the wage ceiling, without any reference to sustainability or of clubs being self sufficient? What really would worry me as an Everton fan is that RK was never ever in contention for the Chelsea job who are looking for that next class of manager yet Everton are paying RK more than Chelsea are paying Conte! I reckon the blokes money will run out really quick with that less than commercial approach! Any player signing for them needs to be looking for 100k a week IMO and if I were Baines, Barkley, and ....and...sorry struggling for any other quality players, I would be telling my agent to get me 100k a week too!
-
If he is wrong please provide me with the number of times Everton have finished above Liverpool in the last 80 years? I ain't counting them as I don't care and in my mind Everton, Preston Huddesfield and Wolves ( but not villa as they have been European champions- like Liverpool but unlike Everton) are teams which share a rich history but are now a run of the mill make up the numbers team who have been ****e for years and years! By the way he is a Liverpool fan and I am pretty confident he is right. Ps he says Everton are and always have been an irrelevance and not even a rival..he cares more about Man Utd.
-
No- Koeman has let me down....absolutely nothing to do with the club.
-
Actually in the last nearly 80 seasons my mate tells me Everton have only finished above Liverpool something like 16 times so not since the 70's..they have been in their shadow since before the war!
-
Lol outdated concept..don't worry you get on with spending the blokes money (who really wanted arsenal but couldn't afford a big club so bought a small cheap one with an old ground.).you know the ones with pillars that mean you can't see part of the pitch. He will have a shock when he realises it's not like the Emirates and he is sat on a wooden bench in the directors box!

Brenda Rogers spent the Suarez money (100 million) and scraped 6th or 7th but he already had sturridge etc in the squad before that. Whoever spent the bale money at Spurs spent 100 million and finished up getting sacked. LVG spent 230 million wasn't it? and finished fifth! Everton are going to spend 100 million and be champions league contenders! Lol
-
First match 1971? Missed most of those title wins then? Don't forget Huddersfield, Preston, Aston Villa and Sunderland all clubs with as rich a history as Everton as well as Burnley and Wolves.. West Ham won the World Cup don't you know? Even Lineker who played for you prefers Leicester and Spurs! In my lifetime time you got lucky once with Howard Kendall he did a Leicester with you and then you have struggled ever since..remember that manager from Norwich? Lol Moyes over achieved with you and so got the united job... If you were as big as you say he would have stayed surely...especially if you had shared these amazing facts with him...
-
So with the number of league titles won (even if most are pre war) determining size Sunderland and Aston Villa are bigger clubs than Chelsea and Man City? The only factor these days is revenue and Everton are miles behind in those stakes...mostly because there is no one left alive who saw all them titles they won pre First World War!
-
The good news for you is he struggles against Liverpool! ?
-
Lol they are reporting wishes now...I can do tha.how about: Ronald Koeman wants to leave Everton and join Barcelona.
-
Liverpool stealing a load of players from the eight place team in the division was not ambition..it took them to 8th place surprisingly enough. Taking a manager from the sixth best team isn't ambition unless your ambition is to finish sixth? Liverpool getting Klopp is ambition...Man city getting pep that's ambition...Man Utd get Jose that's ambition! (Sorry is that still a sore point as he really wanted to be Everton manager but you choose RK instead? )
-
N A big club in the same way as Wolves Burnley Huddersfield etc are historically big clubs...
-
We know our place..it's you guys needing to be told you are a massive club. What is it finished above Liverpool 16 times in 70 odd seasons? You do know they haven't won the league for over 20 years? But yeah you are the size of Liverpool just on a much much much smaller scale...TBF you remind me of Bournemouth they have a similar desperate need to prove themselves!
-
If I remember right...Early eighties we had the better side usually finished above them. Late eighties was their purple patch won the league etc..nineties a mixed bag sometimes we finished higher sometimes them. Both Flirted with the drop if I remember coredtly finishing together just above the drop zone on a couple of occasions! In my lifetime except for the small period in the late eighties and when we dropped out of the top division there has been very little in league positions between the two that I can remember.

Happy to debate but why are you so fixated on wanting one of us to say how big your club is.? 17 Newcastle United 169.3 England 19 Green-Up-Arrow.svg +2 18 Everton 165.1 England 20 Green-Up-Arrow.svg +2 19 Internazionale 164.8 Italy 17 RedDownArrow.svg -2 20 West Ham United 160.9 England 21 Green-Up-Arrow.svg +1 21 Galatasaray 159.1 Turkey 18 RedDownArrow.svg -3 22 Southampton 149.5 Revenue wise you are slightly bigger as shown above which is pretty much the only important measure at any given time? Worth noting you are hundreds of millions behind Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea etc so investing 100 million in your squad is unlikely to make you champions of the world either? You are about the same size as Newcastle, West Ham etc.. Personally your need to have someone declare your club as bigger demonstrates that your club, like ours, is a makeweight well behind the big boys. Your investor may cement your place as one of the best of the rest ( although West Ham look set to splash some cash and have a stadium twice the size of yours) so you are likely to fall behind them Man City, Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool,, and arsenal all have a better squad than you and likely to spend more than your 100 million this summer. So what do you really think you are going to achieve?
-
Wonder how that compares to a Man U/arsenal/Liverpool/Spurs/Man City/Chelsea fans expectation who all have better squads and more money than Everton? They really are deluded If they think 100 million is going to propel them to the top!
-
And spending that much money on players will mean a massive increase in wages. Their turnover isn't so great that they can absorb that so he will also need to supply funds for that too!

No other club loses it key personnel consistently

H I am sure revenue wise we arent far behind our peers? Even Everton are only just ahead of us. With the new kit deal etc we will make up some ground. The big six though are miles ahead..hundreds of millions ahead and that gap will only ever close if someone is prepared to plug the gap between the investment required to win things and the commercial revenue catch up as new people round the world start buying SFC products. It worked for Man City and Chelsea who have both done it, joining Man U arsenal etc for revenue but it has cost the owners approx 1 billion to do it. The Everton guy isn't going to invest that and I don't think Kat has that sort of money anyway. We haven't really got a choice other than continue a path of steady growth. It's annoying that some one else gets an investment and so jumps you again for a while but ours is a long term strategy. It's worked so far and I don't think anything I say will change it..not got a billion on me at present. -
He will soon get ****ed of living next to Klopp...the celebrations every time he cuts his grass will have RK fuming!
-
You are right..put the for sale signs up! Let every player who can get a bit more cash elsewhere leave!

As fans we need to temper our aspirations? If we finish say 9th next year it's is still a great achievement..there is no way we are going to improve position every year. The manager is really important but more so is the playing squad. Koeman fell on his feet in reality with the sales of Shaw lallana etc we were able to buy multiple players of quality and have the best squad I have known at the club. RK changed MP's high press game and did his own thing..less possession etc which worked for him. If Mane goes for say 30 million and we invest in 3 players in the 8-10 million bracket arguably we could improve the squad again.. People fear change but RK is not the best manager ever and it's just as possible that the next person might do better than him. I am sure the new guy will have some money to spend outside of money raised from sales..next season could be exciting! Oh and the quote from the Everton fan on talk***** was funny.."we have just signed the Dutch David Moyes! "
