Statistically "proven" - Clattenburg dislikes us
Saint-Fred replied to devonsaint's topic in The Saints
I don't need to know any statistics to know the feeling is mutual. I hate the **** -
They were at QPR together.

Yeah must be legit if the red tops are promoting it! I've never heard of an employee of a red top paper being pulled up for using their papers to promote things like share prices then profiting when they do rise, have you?
-
What about 1730 kick offs?

Anyone got any security footage of him at uniteds training ground yet?

At what point would you walk out of a Saints game?
Saint-Fred replied to kwsaint's topic in The Saints
They didn't throw that lead away because of the protest that happened as they are ****e. Good on them IMO. Why should someone have to move to a different part of the ground (or not attend at all) from a seat they have sat in for x years because a tourist will pay more to sit there? To answer the question if Saints announced my seat will be 77 pound per game next year i would happily walk out of the ground as part of an organised protest during a game. -
There was some singing this at arsenal and again v West Ham..reckon it's ok and better than nothing!

****tenburg MOTM after his performance he didn't deserve to be on the losing side.

Personally I think this one is a great idea. An opportunity to see the players who took us up twice ( which kelvin was a massive part of). I hope to see all my favourites back. I see Morgan retweeted it so fingers crossed he can at least play some part. I really hope Lallana attends and gets a warm welcome. FFS I was as angry as anyone at the time but let's be the bigger people and let bygones be bygones. Watch the season reviews and you'll see what a massive part of it he was. We shared some great times with him and we just look petty and jealous when we boo him now.

Why bother paying for a keeper then, just use an academy goalie? Why would Madrid want to pay xxx millions for De Gea? As Brian Clough said a decent goalie is worth 10 or more points a season. I understand what you are saying as I saw shilton let in 7 and he was still a great keeper but I think you underestimate what having confidence in the bloke behind you will do for a defence. The premier league is about small margins and personally I think we wouldn't have conceded as many with Fraser in goal earlier in the season too.
-
Forster IMO is different class..he would have won the golden glove last year but for his injury and still was only one clean sheet behind the winner. Already catching the leaders now! IMO best keeper we have had since shilts.
-
Very happy with this signing..proven goal scorer in this division, good value and for once wages not an issue! Excellent.
-
Yes two injuries this year but I think you will find he regularily played the vast majority of league games in past seasons so not sure what the "injury record" is and why it's perceived as so bad? I am sure he usually plays a lot higher %age than you describe. No chance of us signing him though!
-
i wouldn't image they'd be reduced for a couple/few months yet. It's almost certain that a new kit is brought out every season now so a reduction should happen regardless of the shirt maker but as has been said the popular sizes go quick..which if the generilastions about the USA are right may not be an issue Sorry couldn't resist. So really it's buy now for the second half of the season, buy at the end of the season at Half price but for an out of date shirt or wait until July/August and pay full price for the new design which will be the latest version which the team will wear for the next 9 months!

I thought the facts about the banning order were the best bit..they have to hand in their passports when major games abroad are on..as that is very unlikely to involve us, is that any big game? I assume it could be only related to us..so job done or does it include when England play or is it extreme like big euro games involving English clubs like when arsenal go to Barcelona. Does it include the El Classico or even just Bayern v Dortmand? And who enforces it? Do the police check the fixture list and tell him when to hand it in at the start of the season and then up date for cup draws etc... Lol so many questions!
-
Where has this barely played myth come from? He has scored 10 goals in 16 games. He had a period of 4 games missed earlier in the season and missed the last 4 with injury..that's not hardly played? His goals scoring record remains excellent. I think he'd do a good job for us as we create chances whether we could/would be willing to meet his wages is debatable.
-
He didn't do bad at Burnley and the season following him leaving they were promoted..how much could be credited to him for the team he built? Didn't really follow him or them so not sure if the team was the same or totally overhauled for the following season? He seems confident, sensible when interviewed and his team seem to love working for him. If he was available I wouldn't be disappointed and as it seems location is important to him we could potentially have him in the role for a long time, which would be something different to the revolving door managers are on these days. All hypothetical of course as he seems happy at Bournemouth and can't see why he would be looking to leave. I'd love to see us have a manager for ten or fifteen years and see if they can build something but maybe we will never see that sort of thing happen again at any level?

In a match the players would be on the floor writhing in agony long before they had a chance to lay the boot in!

Sorry was just doing the counter argument to the point that teams doing well have good cup runs. Of course I think those teams would have gone down anyway. My point was that I don't think league form and cup runs are really linked, I agree the list I gave isn't many but teams from outside the top tier have been in finals quite recently, teams that have only just avoided relegation have got to finals and it's quite possible that by May the last two beaten finalists will have been relegated a year later. None of this is meant to relate to us and say we will go down if we have a cup run quite the opposite, it just demonstrates that league form, good or bad, goes out the window and anyone can get to a final so why not treat it seriously!
-
Off the top of my head, Wigan Portsmouth (lol) Middlesbrough Brighton all got relegated the season they got to the cup final. That said I think we should field a full strength side and get as far as we can..you never know if the draw will be kind..I remember Liverpool getting to the final and playing Sunderland without playing a premier league team in any previous round..
-
Lol I suppose but i am working on the assumption that he wasn't deliberately late and therefore whatever the consequence he would have still been late. I am pretty sure he didn't have anything else planned to do on the day! Either that or he had to finish his call to his agent and forgot the time!
-
I think, if I listened to RK correctly, the point is that final meeting confirms the team, individual roles and tactics to be used.Kick off is approaching so it is important everyone is there on time to allow for the timescales of activity in the build up to kick off to be adhered to. There is obviously a time limit on that final meeting. Therefore at the meeting, as he was not present, he dropped Sadio and went with a team and plan excluding him. It's seems a reasonable course of action to me especially as everyone is aware of the consequence of missing/being late.

There's also the misfiring big clubs, Newcastle, Sunderland and Villa to name a few who have bigger stadiums and possibly fan base therefore the potential for more commercial income? I think Palace are also looking at expansion of their stadium. Although match day income isn't as important as it was previously given the sky money, it's still got to impact? As you say really difficult!

You really are a **** for brains. Don't you get it..I conceded you are right..you are not worth talking to..move on please

Ok another you have to win. Bit loose on your timeline though.Clyne didn't go to a club who had sacked their manager he has been sacked since Clyne has been there..liverpool have qualified once in what five or six years? So players who signed for Liverpool in 2010 have had one year in the champs league since..yep dead certs for champs league that lot However as you have to be right I will agree you are Right and I am wrong. No need for further debate. Oh and I see Watford are rumoured to be throwing huge sums at their two star players despite them signing new 5 year deals this year in an attempt to keep them...fools they should ask you..you know better!
