Aston Villa Ticket Rip Off - SFC Screwing Fans Over
Saint-Fred replied to pluto's topic in The Saints
Lol is someone upset as they only go to one game a season and it's the last one or something? If it was the cup final then the prices would have been doubled. Should they also be less depending on the opposition in the final or is the occasion and the fact more people want to go reason enough to charge more. Supply and demand I am afraid...over the season same number of cat a to c so can't see th e issue? Hull is still on sale if cheaper tickets are required! -
I do get it I was talking about if Kelvin was injured not with him here, I just don't see why any club would have more than 3 keepers on their books as this rule favours those who don't have development players then? A couple of years ago didn't man city get fulop when given was injured and hart was on loan.? Surely man city of all teams have some depth? Better off with just three and emergency loan someone of experience in the case of injury rather than be forced into playing players before they are ready? Anyway all rather invalid unless KD gets injured! I was only joking about Cech anyway, just making a point that one of the best keepers in the world is sitting on the bench and that it is not outside the realms of possibility that someone could get him on an emergency loan.
-
Ever watched escape to victory? Surely it's registered players? If not you'd never get goal keeper emergency loans as no club will just have 2? What's the difference between bringing in a loan and bringing anyone else who was not named in the BPL squad at the start of the year? If you can just name anyone then there is no need for a loan just sign someone from the local park? Surely the rule s to maintain competition so teams don't play with the bloke from the front row and have abig disadvantage?

Don't be so sensitive Roy. TBF though you are pretty clueless, your tactics are inflexible and outdated, your team selection appears to be more on reputation than form and we just experienced a World Cup under your control where we went into the tournament with the lowest of expectations and somehow you managed to not even reach those. You openly discussed the benefits of specific players leaving for bigger clubs when they were still under contract, ( in the news now is how you "sold" well beck to arsenal- how is that anything to do with the England manager?) and IMO you rank as one of the worst managers England have had. I would rather no saints players were called up as I can't see an benefit they will gain from sessions under your tenure. In fact you openly touting them around the big clubs no wonder players from outside the big clubs change when the get the call up from you as you probably spend half the time talking about Liverpool!
-
If Kelvin gets injured we should be able to bring in an emergency loan? I am sure Cech wouldn't mind some playing time and us challenging for top 4 probably is more desirable for Chelsea than pool, spurs and even man Utd surely? :-)

How many penalties should a team get per season?
Saint-Fred replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
As said above once at 15 you get no more even if Rooney gets decapitated in the box it's just a free kick. Level playing field or what? -

Easy one to sort out. All teams get say 15 for the season. In the last game the ref must give each team the amount of pens to get up to 15 for the season. -
But the board probably are watching events at villa and thinking a change of manager can save them to?
-
Morgans was only just inside the area v newcastle. Surely that counts ?

Funny listening on talksport about whether they can hold on to Kane for next season or beyond when a "big club" come in for him. Big club maybe but if one of Man U Liverpool Chelsea arsenal want one of their players then according to talksport it's when not if they go.. Sound familiar?

Nathaniel Clyne Joins Liverpool - Official
Saint-Fred replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
My point is we didn't pay 50k to buy a goalkeeper from say, Stockport , we paid 10m for one! We didn't buy a 20k left back from Hartlepool we paid 8m plus for one, we didn't replace lallana with a 1m player from the championship , we paid 10m for a replacement etc. sometimes these buys don't work out DO and GR for example, however if we sold 3 players this summer -say j rod 15m, Clyne 15m and Morgan 20m (figures for example) and bought five 10 m players then our squad would be stronger even if the first team was weakened. Personally I think squad depth is the biggest barrier to competing especially if you do well in the cups. -

Thing is we didn't buy unknowns? This merry band cost a fair few pounds! You don't pay 10m for an unknown. I have never seen a Saints team which had so many players purchased for above our previous record buy (which seemed to be the record forever) Rory Delap. If we sell players for really high fees eg 15-30 mill for a single player then I think the model is sustainable. IF that money is invested back in the team (By sustainable I don't mean pushing forward and competing for the top 4 all the time -I mean being able to buy a team to compete with the second group of teams below the big few.) -
Lol that was a bad post grammatically...combination of spell checker and hangover! But Lallana yes he should be. soured a little by his actions and comments when he left, but we should recognise his contribution. I am sure he would have opportunities to leave before he did. Can understand giving him some stick though, needed to act with more dignity befitting of being our captain at that time. Lovren played only 31 games for , he spoke about his head being elsewhere whilst still our player, showed no loyalty to us , the club that took a punt on him when his reputation was low and deserves everything he gets. What did he contribute except probably being an accelerant to others leaving. I can't imagine he was one who telling others to keep the team together? Lovren didn't carry us up he leagues. He didn't play a major part in keeping us up. He came into a good team played well then took the opportunity to get him self more money. He is a mercenary and the only saving grace of his time with us was that we mugged Liverpool for so much money for him!
-
First and foremost we should support our current players. Sign to an opposition player when we haven't got a song for loads of current ones? However a decent round of applause for Rickie is only right. Don't get this he cut his ties with us stuff.... The fact is we were privileged to have had him in our team and he was a big part in us being where we are now. A player leaving doesn't erase what they did for us and we need to recognise that. Cortese wanted to erase our history and not recognise the historic players we have been privileged to have play for this great club and like it or not Rickie is part of that history even if he now plays for Liverpool or next year for Villa and that needs to be recognised with an appropriate receptionIMO of course

I heard it was just a big screen with an x box for playing fifa. The young team working there spend many many hours "scouting talent" on it. Haven't you noticed anyone we signed has had an in form on fifa in the last year?
-
Why just the Northam? This is harrassment. 90% in the stand are drinking a bottle of beer or four during the game so what are they going to do with the empties now? We all used to chuck them on the pitch and Sammy Saint picks them up!
-
You could try the hospitality? I know friends who got into the arsenal game without prior purchase history by going in there?
-
Good news Linton...seeing as you are just taking in any game, it won't matter if spurs are playing in it? Bournemouth are home that day too. You might be able to get tickets for that game. Further good news is that as a hibs/spuds fan the standard will probably be better than you are used to?
-
Morning Away supporters should go to their team for tickets. Wouldn't expect this to go on sale to people without previous purchase history for home fans.
-
The Europa league doesn't look very lucrative though looking at those figures!

Pelle at the start of the season? don't know why people think having a go at one of your own helps? "Just calling them sh"t"isn't ok even if they haven't played well that sort of reaction will affect other players in your own team. However It's funny how some players could make a hundred mistakes and be ok and others make one and get called sh"t...if that isn't a scapegoat what is? I wouldn't want to play in an environment where my team mates are abused by their own fans. #togetherasoneunlessyouhaveabadgametheniwillcallyou****

Previously I Never liked him myself but I voted for him as MOTM against Everton. Also credit to him for being ok with squad rotation and being played out of position most games. IMO his signing has been a success. The fee is irrelevant to me, I don't pay it,I pay to watch the team and he a is a big part of a very good team that I get a lot of joy and pride from. For one I am glad he is part of our team, he seems like an ok guy and he has won me over.

Fonte apologises, but how about refunding travelling fans their fares?
Saint-Fred replied to eelpie's topic in The Saints
Even better apparently there is no threat that we would need to pay at all again this season!
