From what I saw and heard the Rangers fans were fine, laughing and good banter between them and others around them until the mong back board bashers turned it into hate. The Rangers guys reacted to that.

Great post! If you think about it, the catchment area we have is massive when you consider the blue few and bompey being where they are. IF we establish ourselves in the prem and have an element of success, there is no reason why kids growing up either end of the M27 wouldn't start supporting Saints. Success brings in fans (albeit "plastic") just look at Man City and Chelsea before them.
