  1. yeah, you're right. OK, Tadic and Pelle.
  2. Ings would have shot.
  3. God, we do not play well at home because on the whole, most teams sit back and ask us to take the game to them. And we know, as we have for many years, since Koeman (Lallana/Lambert) days, we cannot break teams down. When teams do come and play, they are generally better than us anyway, but as City showed, it does gives us the opportunity to play more positively, as we do away when the home team has the necessity to take the game to us.
  4. Thought he bottled out of two or three shots last night, one being the assist! Okay, the second half shot was good and it was an excellent save but yeah, so he chases down on the press, so what? That is not a skill. What you want from him is someone who is getting the ball and constantly running at their defences, like Treore, like Sterling, like Antonio, making defenders panic stricken but he simply does not do that. And when he does try he just runs out of ideas and into a bank of defenders. He looks lacking in confidence and presently looks no better than Obefemi. Of course there is a good player in there, but it is championship level and I really do not think we will see an extended run of form but he is not good enough. The odd game here and there, sure. In saying all of that though, the real problem is that we have got no one better in that position.

Lot to do with Pickford in goal. he saves a lot and I guess a taker is going to try harder to put the ball somewhere he can’t go, which is what I reckon JWP tried to do.
  6. Been pretty anonymous lately. Wa he playing against Everton?

Football opinions are subjective at the best of times, and that is what they are, an opinion. Some will think JWP can do more, some will think he cannot. If you are expecting him to score 10 goals a season then i guess you are going to be underplaying his talents. Being called weird because your own view of his ability differs from others is pretty ironic.

I'll give you Winks, but the rest, well, would not say better.

yes, because these days they have so much money they can just buy for possible potential/bigger squads for cups/taking players off rivals. Is he good enough for a first team place in City/Liverpool ? No. The rest, on a rotation basis, he could get in possibly, but would be a squad player at best.

yeah, on the whole, probably true, though that is a massive statement.... no player in history? I'd have a bet on you being wrong on that any day.

Lets get real, he is good enough for us but not good enough for any team better. He is good, but not amazing, Matt Oakley like, miss him when he is not in the line up and obviously half (he misses more than he scores) decent at free kicks. No comparison to MS at the moment. No comparison to David Beckham and if he is in the England team, well, that would be a national worry. In saying all that though, he is only 25, so it will be interesting to see how or even if, he develops? It has taken him a lot of game time to be a consistently average PL player.
  12. I was not aware of that? Just googling and I think you are incorrect, seems like the can, but quietly and you cannot celebrate! Apparently that can increase the R number 😁 We will not have a problem with that aspect anyway! Home to man City, neither work.
  13. Any ideas of what city centre pubs are showing the game and any restrictions etc?
  14. If there’s one certain thing in football, if a player gets a better offer, he leaves. and if Southampton get a good offer, they sell.
  15. Surely we’d not be selling one of our best players ?
  16. This is all spot on. I’m no football tactician but on Thursday it just looked so easy for Arsenal after they’d scored. Arteta must have known that two banks of four or a five and a three in front of us would produce little opportunity for us, and hopefully if we did one, it would fall to Long.
  17. Can he play centre back or do we have to stick with Janni 😧
  18. yeah, got mine. Presume you have to use a Now TV Box?
  19. Oh, Pick, the channel just shows cops and customs? Ok, makes sense now. Thanks.
  20. got my watford refunds through today.
  21. not sure where you live but i find if it was not for the news and obviously the lock down, i would not know. I do not anyone that has died from it, has become seriously ill and as for the sirens etc. I hardly hear any anymore, maybe because the roads are quieter and there is not necessity to blast their way through perhaps?
  22. it's not, i am a Labour supporter but in the end, Corbyn was a liability, embarrassing and a joke, so...
  23. The bloke is a buffoon, our version of Trump, he is an embarrassment to this country. Nothing to do with politics, just an opinion on how he conducts himself. I mean. he nearly died because he was insistent on shaking peoples hands when advised not to, how stupid can you get and what sort of example does it set?
  24. interesting as the ticket office have just called me. They have refunded my hospitality Brighton tickets. I mentioned the Watford tickets and they said that as the PL have not officially declared the rest of the season behind closed door, the refunds are all still pending. We have not had refunds from Watford or Norwich, they are awaiting official confirmation. Once that happens, then SFC will get the away refunds and then process our refunds. A bit pedantic (from the PL) but acceptable and least the club are now communicating!
