  1. The only reason to be in the Pl is to qualify for Europe, so okay, it is not going to happen this season but given 6 and usually 7th place are up for grabs for just about anyone, we always have a chance (if we had the right manager and players playing). I loved Europe and that is why we should prioritise cup comps, especially the League Cup.
  2. I'm confused. The PL is crap, yeah? Noncompetitive, boring etc.... So the idea of going to The Championship is so we can win more games and have a chance of winning something. So we win The Championship and?
  3. Probably not considering we got to the cup final that year. Maybe a couple of years later.
  4. I watched the game myself, lucky enough to be given a ticket. I think the big diffe ence was how quick they moved the ball which gave QK no chance of getting at them. Saints missed as many as they scored, the QK keeper made some good saves but he had enough shots to get a few in I guess. There was at no point a time when QK had control of the game. That said, I don't think they disgraced themselves and it's a bit harsh to describe them as kids, they're a competent side but totally outclassed, I mean totally. That said, they did get one shot on target. It was disappointing to see them play one up front but their manager was worried about being totally overrun in midfield. He didn't want a 20 plus score line and when they had a player sent off that stuffed the option of two up front anyway. Have to say the refereee was clearly protecting Saints and I guess that's the agreement they got when they entered the completion. Can't really blame them. KD was very vocal on the side and Marti N Hunter was watching on, apparently Uncle Les was there but he must have stayed at the back of the gantry as I didn't see him. i think was was really striking was watching professionals against amateurs, never really seen that before and it was eye opening.
  5. It was men against boys but the boys showed what a different class they were. Can't see anyone else but them winning the cup.
  6. lol, loads of spares! thats good, becasue we got ****, right at the back, severely restricted view tickets, hopefully we take up a couple of no show seats. Anyone not going and if you dont sell, let me know your seat numbers please.

    Class Act

Its a good point but just because he falls under the radar does not make him 'average'. I think his goal scoring is the one key area that would turn off a lot of suitors. I like the the player, the man and his midfield game, however he should score more goals if he is an attacking midfielder. he does miss a lot of chances.

  16. I think that's called personal choice isn't it? You are implying that he went to games that took his fancy, though he has only said he went to European games, he did not really say he could not be bothered to go to domestic. He also made the point in respect of finances, some of us do not have to the money (or inkling) to 'spend hundreds of pounds travelling up and down the country...' Of course, those people that do, like you i suppose (and me) should be a priority but he does not suggest that we should not be. He is simply asking if someone has a spare, he wont get one, I know it, you know it and he does too no doubt, but he is entitled to ask without the patronising replies (of the wealthy and so dedicated)i guess.
  17. I have 2 spares, 1 x adult and 1 x concession, face value £27/£9 email md@uniqueplumbingsupplies.co.uk

Bless, you must have put in a lot of time and effort thinking this one up.
  19. Do we know the allocation for sure? Sometimes (and they have done it at Anfield before) they only release tickets on a block by block basis.
  20. To be honest, I do wonder why I bother, especially home games. There is still something about going away with mates and that but at home, god it's dull and the players don't care and the club just want money. There's nothing from the old game anymore, it's all gone, what a lot of us 30+ people grew up with bears no relation to today.
  21. This is a joke, yeah?
  22. After reading about Rory McIlroy's disparaging remarks on Roy Keane's refusal to sign an autograph for him (he did a similar thing to be, the bloke is A1 cvnt), I did remeber back to the days of The Dell car park and trtying to get players' autographs. I remember Bruce Grobbelar in his Liverpool days being a complete **** too, barging past kids to get on the bus. But I also remember Kevin Keegan staying on for ages signing books. As a kid, this was massive, waiting for god knows how long before the away team emerged form the small door in the corner and scrambling for the big name players of the time.
  23. I guess no one has addressed what is different now compared to what, six months ago when he was scoring for fun? his lack of goals coincides with our lack of goals. So is it him or the team? Well he's barely starting games now and we still don't score. The worse thing about this is that we all know that Long won't start the next game, Maybe it will be Austins turn? We have a manager unable to decide who our best striker is.
