  3. The British (also known as Britons, informally Brits, or archaically Britishers) are citizens of the United Kingdom, of the Isle of Man, one of the Channel Islands, or of one of the British overseas territories, and their descendants.[22][23][24] In a historical context, the term refers to the ancient Britons, the indigenous inhabitants of Great Britain south of the Forth.[23] British nationality law governs modern British citizenship and nationality, which are acquired, for instance, by birth in the UK or by descent from British nationals.

  19. He made 35 appearances in a team that also included two of the most prolific strikers in League One plus an ex-Premiership striker, one of the "best" attacking midfielders in League One and another pacey winger also on loan. That not reluctant, its playing the squad to suit the opposition best.

  21. Correct me if I'm wrong, but was Van den Hauwe's mother Welsh?
  22. No he didnt. Player X can play for a country if he was (a) born there (b) his biological parents where born there © his biological grand-parents were born there or (d) has gain full citizenship of the country. AND has not represented another country at a level above U21 (I think). In addition, the Home Nations (England, Scotland, Wales and NI) have an agreement in place for their players that states "He has engaged in a minimum of five years education under the age of 18 within the territory of the relevant association." This is basically to stop England swooping up players like Giggs, but it also stops England stealing any players that would be eligible under the FIFA rules to play for any of the Home Nations.
  23. Since when were Portugal and Brazil part of the "home nations"?
  24. Ohhh, when you said veil I thought you meant like a bride or something....
  25. Pretty sure JT actually played in midfield rather than up with the front 2.
