Whilst shuffling away from the ground some guy who looked like the 8 hours of drinking was taking hole was berating everyone for not singing songs. He then decided to take the lead by starting up the Lambert song finishing with: "He gets the ball he takes the ****, he wears the shirt of Matt Le Tiss: RICKIE JOHNSON, blah blah blah blah blah." Cue everyone stunned silence broken after about ten seconds by laughter and some guy asking "you realise his name is Lambert??" He didn't seem quite so up for leading the chants after that.

After waiting at Eastleigh and seeing the first two trains come past full someone had the idea of getting a train to Fratton and then going Fratton to Waterloo. A lot of surprised locals getting off arriving trains to see about 40 saints fans in colours waiting about!! Special mention to whoever managed to take over the PA system for a shout of red army. Also good to see the station staff and manager out on the platform having some banter and a laugh. Did the same route on the way back and worked out well. Took three hours to go Waterloo to Eastleigh but had seats and no risk of not being able to get on.

Thanks a lot for this.

Trying to sort my online ticket account out ready for Monday and to save on fees. When selecting seats for a game I get the "Customer" drop down box next to each seat but there is nothing at all in the drop down, not even my own customer number. I'm not linked to any other accounts so just wanted to check if this box is only meant to contain linked customer numbers. Don't want to get to next week and find the system won't seel because I can't make it aware I have an ST.

Probably lucky the yellow wasn't a red as well. Kicked Lewington from standing well after the whistle had gone for the Saints free kick.

SSN breaking news: Southampton agree deal with Plymouth for Jason Puncheon

Saints Twitter page updated half an hour ago to say less than 200 home tickets left. Guessing we won't hit 30K though because of the corporate seating and away seating.

Anyone who doesn't realise what a massive improvement BBC's coverage has been over ITV needs to get things in perspective. Now we've moved down a league we'd struggle to even get our goals on most weeks.

Quite an interesting blog on BBC site which explains what they're looking to do. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/sporteditors/2009/08/the_right_to_highlight.html Appears the intention is for a show after MOTD on Saturday night to feature every goal from the three leagues rather than an ITV style one featured game approach. 2-5 min highlight packages of each match also on BBC website 48 hours after the game. Think the live games are Championship only so not a factor to us.

Within an hour of my post above had an e-mail from a very helpful gentleman from the club who has managed to get everything sorted :-)

Has anyone still not received an e-mail? As I hadn't I sent an e-mail to customerservice@performgroup.com as the news story on OS said queries from existing subscribers should be directed there. I've now received an e-mail that just says: Not helpful because I've been paying monthly for the last couple of years and the subscription is clearly active as I can log into Saints TV at present. I also have don't have a "Netbanx" reference. If anyone else has been having troubles would appreciate any feedback as to what you've done and if it's sorted matters.

Agree with those above saying Saitns fans "enticed" by police isn't correct. A police perimiter being set up should not make people do something they know is wrong. Heading straight for the away fans was shocking enough, but there was then a group trying to use themselves as human battering rams to break the police cordon and get to the away fans. Those who went straight to the away fans looking for trouble should be ashamed of themselves, especially with the situation we are in at present.

Just started season 1 in Le Tissier. Would have made more sense to go to Molby but how could I say no!!! Really impressed with the game so far. Only real problem is the desire to sign all the Saints players I can! Managed to get Dyer, Euell and James in starting squad. Ended up signing Killer this morning for £10k as I saw him on the transfer list. Didn't need him but didn't want to see him unwanted!!!

thought that although some of the lads ran their guts out today we were also let down by some poor performances. Lallana looked subdued but think this could be symptomatic of being isolated on the right. Thought dmg was poor and surman looked a step off at times. Think a right back should be a priority as james looks out of his depth. Gillet's passing also seemed a bit off. As posted above wotton was a warrior in the second half and saga looked a cut above at times. Great to see the passion on the lads faces after the baby celebration

Just looked up figures on the FA site. We only get 45% of the gate (45% Man Utd, 10% FA). Getting selected for TV makes things better though as £160,000 for a live game, £7,500 highlights and £9,000 for full radio commentary.

Well, Jan did ask for it yesterday!!!!

Because that's likely one of the cameras for Saints TV online rather than anything the TV company would have come up with.
