I agree with most of what you said, but a lot of fans, myself included, didn’t see him as a premier league player. I think that’s exactly where he sees himself which maybe part of his problem. I’m assuming there is a problem and not a series of unrelated events that lay behind the perception of his unreliability and lack of commitment?

Conversely there were a lot of posters who thought we’d walk this league, by virtue of being in the premier league last season. Albeit being the second worst team ever, on points at least, probably actually the worst aside from that. I do agree with you though, I saw us as mid table mudlers. I don’t know who any of the new players are, so don’t know if they will have the required impact, I guess we’ll find out. It seems a lot of other teams are far better prepared for this league than us.

I don’t think it would have made much difference, both Ralph and Ralphball had had their day.

I think Fernandes did all he could, he was probably our most consistent player last season and always put a shift in. He goes with my blessing for what it’s worth. I don’t have any strong feelings about Dibling leaving, except to say he was overused and rushed back from injury. its such a short career I don’t blame anyone capable of playing at a higher level wanting to do so.

I’ve lost track a bit, but there were a couple of others who went for reasonable money, as you suggest, some still to go. I’m sure someone will tally it all up and post here at some points. It feels as though we are finally being run by capable and competent people for the first time in a long time. I include Still in that, I wasn’t keen, but I’ve been really impressed by his intelligence and demeanour.
