  1. My70’s trip was on a Foley coach as well!. We were massively outnumbered by those loveable little scallywag rascals.
  2. Well I'm going tomorrow, 3rd time for me to Anfield. The first time probably around 79 / 80, we woz robbed, and I took a real beating in Stanley Park afterwards (I think most people did that day, there were only a couple of hundred Saints fans there), plus the coach got bricked. Second time was when Shane Long scored the cracker (video above). I'm hoping tomorrow is more like my last visit and not like they first! I'm also looking forward to see NJ make his mark on the team, after my initial shock I'm really warming to the bloke.
  3. I 100% agree with your assessment. If NP can sort out Ralph's shambolic and dysfunctional midfield midfield we'll be halfway there. I also think JWP would have left in Jan had Ralph stayed, I noticed at the end of the Bournemouth game Ralph (who only ever appeared on the pitch after a rare victory) , tried to give JWP an embrace and JWP literally turned away and shrugged him off. No love lost tere I think.
  4. and last season
  5. That would get you 33.333 weeks of Theo!
  6. That's a massive sweeping generalisation, I am glad to see the eback of Ralph, I don't think anyone is expecting a bounce, just arresting the decline is sufficient, and grinding out enough points to keep us up.
  7. It might be easier to determine who he wouldn't like, I'd say Aribo is the laziest player I have seen in a Saints shirt in a long time, along with Diallo and Walcott are my guess. I don't know what he'll make of Djnepo, I don't even know what I make of Djnepo! I think they are quite an honest bunch, just laking a coupe of key players to bring it all together.
  8. dont play awful, route one football - I don't care as long as we stay up - let’s not completely lose all of the progress we have made in this project so far. What progress, what project? we are absolutely terrible and were in terminal decline, hopefully he can arrest that decline and re build something! don’t bring god into every interview - if that's who he is and what he believes, so be it. Don’t bang the club crest at least immediately. It seems fake. Let’s learn about each other and hopefully we might like each other eventually. I doubt he cares much, you can't make being liked a priority if you want to achieve anything, it's a "nice to have", not an essential. He's not David Brent
  9. You can still buy online and print at home
  10. This forum doesn't necessarily represent the consensus of Saints fans at large.
  11. I'm going to burn my underpants.
  12. I voted yes on the assumption it's a done deal, I cannot see how we benefit from turning against him before he has had a chance to show what he can do. My first choice, given our situation, would be Dyche, but that would attract just as much negativity.
  13. I did initially, but I don't now. He might be the rough diamond breath of fresh air we need
  14. Thanks for that input, can I ask how you have drawn that conclusion, it seems to come from a position of direct knowledge, do you follow Luton?
  15. But, If we had signed the striker(s) we apparently allowed to slip through our fingers, the transfer policy wouldn't be questioned, we would probably be sitting somewhere comfortably lower mid table.
  16. I think it's more likely SR have erroneously put their faith in our existing upper management who talk a good job but probably just aren't up to the mark.
  17. I just don't see that, it makes no sense that relegation is part of some grand plan, no sense whatsoever.
  18. I’m not sure anything will do that, we are now a divided angry mob. I wanted Dyche, but I’m sure that appointment would have been equally controversial. We are we we are, but the club have made this problem, a botched transfer window and keeping Ralph on for half a season. The person we need now is probably not the same person we should have engaged immediately as last season ended. I’m going to get fully behind Jones, anything else is counter productive. He needs our support if we are to beat relegation. As a footnote, I am really concerned with regard to the competence and intentions of the new ownership regime.
  19. is he still here?
  20. I've had Rupert Lowe vibes for a few weeks now, similar total arrogance and complete disdain for the fanbase.
  21. Slither
  22. More likely we melt like a snowman on a hot day
  23. I think we should give it too Spacey Cake Kale Cabbage, or whatever her name is.
  24. He's a lot of a cnut. Followed his career in Australia a bit, but I have a faded memory of him doing something heinous to one of our players when he was playing for Everton, I think, can't remember what, but i still detest him all the same!
  25. Come on guys, I only need six more votes to get my man Theo to the top of the leader board.
