  1. I think I'd go... McCarthy Cedric Stephens Hoedt Bertrand Lemina (If fit) Hojbjerg Redmond Armstrong Elyounoussi Ings Potentially swap Armstrong for Long and play 442 or for Gabbi and play Gabbi in the hole.
  2. Why would you not play our best goalscorer (Ings) closest to the other goal?
  3. Hopefully
  4. Massive liability but also a potential match winner - they have a threat there's no doubt about that, but they might be one of the only teams with less confidence than us. We should win, but who knows, could easily be another bore draw 0-0/.
  5. Frustrating, especially as getting to Wembley is a real faff. Would have liked to be the first team to win at their new stadium after being the last team to win at White Hart Lane! Will probably still go though.
  6. Happy to give him time, seems to be more solid, but nowhere near as good as Tadic. Still no idea why we let Tadic go, especially for the same price as a mid table Championship player.
  7. Surely there should be a bigger demand for this one than the Chelsea game? 1. It's cheaper 2. More chance of winning
  8. He's better than Austin (not difficult). I wouldn't be adverse to him playing off the right, or in behind Ings. Think he's a better player playing deeper.
  9. Massive game, should be a good atmosphere. Would be nice for us to have a quick start and get an early goal. Get on top early and I think their heads will go down. We have the quality in the individuals, but not quite clicking going forward at the moment. Saints win, and a big step forward.
  10. I mean it doesn't help when we can't seem to put out a settled team. The team needs games together in a set formation for them to build up confidence. Not sure why we don't try a 4-2-3-1 with Redmond, Armstrong, Elyounoussi and Ings as the front "4". Alternatively a 4-3-3 with Redmond Ings and Elyounoussi. I just don't like 442 at all, as we cant control the middle of the park and therefore we can't create good chances as it's all a bit desparate when we get up the other end of the pitch.
  11. Yup been our standout so far this season. Long may it continue!
  12. I'm not a fan of him personally, but thought he was excellent yesterday - fair play.
  13. He is absolutely crap - pub footballer.
  14. Stopped...!
  15. ALways nice to remember the good old days...Liverpool have been doing it for years.
  16. Hopefully they'll be without King and Fraser on Saturday - whats the chances...
  17. 3-0 Bompey, too good for us at the moment unfortunately
  18. Dzeko - lols, Nothing to see here.
  19. Glen Murray wihtout a doubt.
  20. TBF, I wouldn't be that worried for a few games.
  21. Would be too harsh on McCarthy dropping him - he's been brilliant since he's come in, and until he makes any mistakes, he shouldn't be dropped. Gunn is long term and will hopefully stick with us for a few seasons.
  22. Yup - been coming for a while... Will be interesting to see how long we wait this time. Whether we've learnt from our mistakes, or believe Hughes will turn it around. If we don't beat either of Newcastle or Watford then he surely has to go, but can see another "Everton" like result from last year where he's almost gone then pulls a result out the bag which buys him a few more months.
  23. Stephens? Seems to have a bit of an edgy side to him.
  24. He'll be off in Jan, probably permanently, and I'd take him, but again think he'll want to go somewhere better than us unfortunately.
  25. Would 100% take Christiensen - very good player. Happily take Loftus Cheek and Moses too...! Don't think he'd come here though...
