Not bad seeing as though he hasn't played as much as others. In the top 5 of chances created this season.
-
Mix between Scholes and Beckham....not bad
-
He's top drawer. And it's so nice to have a player who can put a decent ball in the box! He's got a huge future, and will start a lot if games this season IMO.

Anyone named their pet with a Saints related name?

Got a fiver on Saints, Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool, Swansea. Fiver returns about £50. Come on you Swans!!!

I want West Ham to get a spanking.

I agree. We started the season solid but not great going forward. Seems that we've now been working on the more offensive side of the game, and looks to be paying off! Looked a lot more of a threat going forward yesterday.
-
Will be very tough this, I'd take a point if offered now! Same team as yesterday for me.

Lallana has been a different player this season. Last year his decision masking was poor, and probably Puncheon deserved to be in the side ahead of him, but he's been absolutely superb this year. Deserves a few caps IMO. Clyne is just a class act and personAlly think he's better than Walker and Johnson. Shaw is fourth choice LB so think he may have to keep playing to a high standard and wait til Cole retires. (Baines Cole Gibbs) Not sure about JRod, can't do a worse job than Welbeck.

Yeah looks a different player this season for whatever reason. Been superb this season and long may it continue !

Players we have had our eye on during previous years

Rhys Williams played for Boro in the Prem didn't he? My mate always raved about him but said he could never say fit. I remember Nixon saying on Twitter that we were close to signing a CB last year, but it fell through because he broke his leg on the 30th August or something. We then signed Yoshi in a bit of a panic. -

Did this happen ? Anyone see it? -
Didn't even know they produced any young talent? I couldn't name you one British player who has come through their academy?

Davis possibly injured for the weekend....Lambert in, 2 up front with J-Rod out wide, or Gaston/Guly in?!
-
Yeah, thats old....we should play at a very high intensity - they won't be able to deal with us.

Ticket Sales - Still not a sell out this year yet.
Saint Garrett replied to CFSFC's topic in The Saints
Because surely its better investing in the young fans before they start supporting Chelsea/Man U/Arsenal etc. Yes the club would probably lose money in the short term but surely then would have higher demand for tickets in 5 years time and would be able to charge more/invest in a bigger stadium. -

That depends how you look at it though. Yes if you solely that this season then yes it's about right, but if you're looking at the fans of the future then let's say for all home games on sky, do kids for a quid and drop adult prices by a fiver. The club make their money from sky and we get a full house. Plus, you need to invest in the kids to expand fan base in the next 10 years. It all just seems to be a bit shortsighted from the club. Especially games like the cup, against in glamorous sides. It should be a 10er, kids for a quid or something. I don't even have kids or work in marketing but surely it's pretty straightforward? Get them hooked now and they're a Saint for the next 70 years! -
Interesting View on Attacking/Defending
Saint Garrett replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
If we start putting our defensive unit with some clinical forward play then we would be challenging for the title IMO. Can't see it happening anytime soon though...
