It's the other end we need to change. All good teams are built on solid defences, so get that sorted (which it looks like we're close to doing) then we don't need to score any more than last year.

I would guess he'll be on Fifa 14 which hasn't been released yet. I play as Saints whenever I play Fifa, which is about once a year ! Normally Saints on FM though.

I doubt we'll score as many as last season. Not sure what our goals per game ratio was with Adkins Vs Pochettino, but I would hazard a guess we've scored far less and conceded less with Pochettino in charge...

We looked much better with Gaston on the pitch. Lallana did very little, Rodriguez missed a sitter, but apart from that very promising. Like the look of Lovren, he is a big upgrade on the others, and looks like he could make a good partnership with Yoshi. Shaw and JWP look like they've bulked up a bit. Wanyama is a monster but didn't particularly impress me in this game, sure he'll settle a bit more though in games to come - new level for him to be playing at on a regular basis. We look much more solid under Poche, but I just worry the system doesn't really suit Lambert, and therefore we're struggling to score. His job to find a way of sorting that though! Overall a promising performance.

It's a pretty dull kit isn't it.

Yeah can understand why we'd rotate before now, but we only have this game and Real Sociedad. It seems we're putting out our first team tonight, so it is a little odd Boruc isn't playing!
