All I wanted was some smart looking stripes. If Ashley did this and just went all black at Newcastle they'd be uproar.

I agree as I feel Morgan and Corks partnership is key for us. Not sure Wanyama would just come in and do Corks job seamlessly.

Pretty much every saints fan I know wants us to play in stripes. Sash was accepted as a one off as it was 125 years, last yrs was accepted but not loved due to it clinging on to being stripes, would hate to just play in red, it's just so **** and boring. SOS

If true, we should all turn up in stripes for the first home game of the season.

I can't think of a worse kit that would have been red than just a plain red shirt with Adidas stripes on the arms. Utter ****. We're Southampton, we're not Bristol city, Swindon, Crewe, Middlesbrough, Liverpool, we're Southampton and we play in stripes ffs!!! Managed to make a lovely kit in 2012(promotion kit), base it on that!

Don't understand why people would buy it even if they don't like it. Just wear a previous one if you have to wear one?!

Wouldn't be surprised to see all 3 of Morgan Wanyama and Cork playing in quite a lot of games, After all Davis played quite a bit under Pochettino.

I buy one every five years on average. Bought the sash, previous one was out relegation shirt, previous was our first yr at st Mary's. I don't wear it enough to make it worthwhile to buy every year. I will happily buy next years if its nice and decent stripes, but right now if its ****ty Liverpool kit I will keep my money!

Quite, not an easy start for them at all. The rest of the 'title contenders' all have relatively easy starts. They'll certainly be playing catch up.
