  1. Has a fair point even if it wasn't written in the best of ways...
  2. It doesn't say an awful lot that we don't know to be fair. Just shows how little money you get in L1 though.
  3. Lets not get ahead of ourselves, he's only been playing consistently for a month or so. I would think he will have some poor periods of form, and also some 'hot' periods. What we do know is he will give 110% in every game he is involved in.
  4. I loved Nigels enthusiasm but it really is the same for every club...
  5. Agree, we certainly seem to be playing more direct with him in the side that we were before. Whether this is down to Poche's tactics or not, I don't know, but he didn't really get involved that much under Adkins. He just seemed to run the channels and get the ball and knock it back to the midfielders, whereas now he's turning and running at defences. It's exciting to watch. I remember seeing one of his goals last year on the FLS, which was similar to the Liverpool goal where he ran the length of the pitch. 7 secs in.... Clearly got talent and comes across as a good fit with his personality as well.
  6. See I've been relatively impressed with them. Try to get the ball down, and have been ok. Not amazing but impressive all the same. I do think they need another CB, a keeper if Reina leaves, and maybe another midfielder, but all in all I think they have a decent squad. And they have some good talent coming through the academy and think Rodgers is the right man for the long term.
  7. Thought Rodgers said he wouldn't take any Swansea players? Liverpool don't need that much, they just need some key signings in some key areas IMO.
  8. We don't need to sell and don't need the money. If they were interested, then I don't think we'd sell him for less than £15m.
  9. We only played 2 games that month. Beat Middlesbrough 3-1 away and Spurs 1-0 at home.
  10. There's not many teams 2 CM's which I'd swap Cork and Morgan for as a pair. I said this ages ago and stand by it. Also said Morgan wouldn't look out of place in the best teams in Europe. We're so lucky to have him!
  11. Personally think Morgan, Cork, Shaw, Boruc and Clyne wouldn't look out of place in any of the top 7 sides. Yes some have better players than them, but I don't think it would weaken them that much.
  12. Didn't watch us last season then?
  13. He didn't play though....
  14. Hooiveld is not crap at all. He's not amazing but he's not crap. Neither is Fox, ok, maybe not quite been good enough this season, but not crap at all. Was superb for us last season in the Champ. However I'm guessing by your join date that you are one of these premiership fans...
  15. I just think Hooiveld is a bit more clumsy than the others. I think there is room for him in the squad for when we play teams like WHU and Stoke though. As I said, i'm probably being a bit harsh because he has been very good recently and fair play to him for that. However I still believe Yoshi and Fonte are better than him, and who knows with Forren, Fonte has been injured (he went off vs Chelsea in the cup), but I thought he was very good for a lot of the season, and was very good Vs Liverpool when he came on. I have to say I'm surprised that Jos is being picked over Jose at the moment, but that is MP's call.
  16. Players IMO that are capable of being in a 'top 7 squad'... Boruc, Clyne, Shaw, Cork, Morgan, Lallana, Gaston, J-Rod, Lambert.....You could also argue Yoshi as well, and maybe Forren but who knows about him? We have players who can do a job in a mid table side....S Davis, Fonte, Puncheon, JWP, And then those who will struggle to compete....K Davis, Hooiveld, Chaplow, Richardson, Fox, Seaborne, Dickson, Barnard, Butterfield, Forte, Gazza, Guly, Lee, De Ridder, Noone knows about Mayuka and I may be a bit harsh on Hooiveld there. Also probably missed some out but oh well. If we can cut a few of those 'strugglers' out and replace them with a few capable of playing for a top 7 team, and a few 'midtable-ers' then who knows what might happen next season. Also if a few of the youngsters can step up then that would be great but hard to know where they will be next season.
  17. But if they haven't played this season, why would you expect them to be involved next season or the season after when we want to be chasing top 10 or better? They simply won't.
  18. Because Moyes might go, Baines and Fellaini might go, a few of their key players will be another year older...all depends on who they bring in. Neville, Osman, Heitinga, Distin must all be on the cusp.
  19. No, but Drogba was. Unproven in the Prem and they rightly took the risk in signing him.
  20. Beckham was at Man Utd as a kid and the biggest club in the world. Drogba went to Chelsea as they were minted and had big ambition, but also went there relatively unknown. Eto has never played in the prem?
  21. They may be a bigger club than us, and have a bigger fan base, but I'd be surprised if they have more money than us...Although who knows how much we have really !?
  22. Why would you expect any different from a dirty f*cking cheating skate bastard.
