Don't understand when ppl accuse people of being glory supporters. At the end of the day a lot of people can't make the commitment to a ST but will go whenever they can or want to. Also in the lower leagues/when playing badly, it is a lot easier to walk up to the ground and buy on the gate, I'd be surprised if that happens that much this season. I've never had a full season ticket, yet I've still been following Saints whenever possible and that includes hartlepool/walsall/rochdale away all on Tuesday nights last season. Hate it when fans have ago at other fans. We're all Saints.

Could it be that we're looking to play this lad on the right of midfield ? Adkins likes players who can cut in and play quite narrow there, hence playing Guly and Chaplow on the right, rather than De Ridder. Just a thought, although he's probably being bought for the left side, but to give us back up in other positions as well.

Fans have been voting for one of three choices on offer as they look to spend the £30,000 won by Blues followers in the npower competition. These include free tickets to local schools for matches, improved disabled facilities at Fratton Park or a statue in honour of the fans. The statue idea – involving fans drawing up a design to provide a lasting testimony to their support – has been the long-time leader. Although it has since emerged a large number of Southampton supporters have been casting their votes via Facebook. The sheer numbers pledged by non-Pompey fans have persuaded npower to step in. They have now promised to validate the final totals – discounting the selections of rival fans – once voting has closed. In addition, as well as being able to vote via Facebook, the Fratton faithful can also send their choice direct to the club, who will then pass on the results. Other choices include the distribution of free match-day tickets to local schools through the Pompey Sports & Education Foundation. We do generally have periods where we play really good football, normally once we're already winning. We rarely hoof it from the keeper, but it normally goes out to the full backs or the CB who has gone relatively wide, and then send diagonal balls to Lambert who then wins a header, knocks it down and then we play from there.

Im pretty certain they will have drawn up a list of 50 or so players who CDAJFU in the prem, and they have enquired about the ones they mostly want with other backups in those positions. Im sure its not, ST, done tick that off....LB, yep done, tick that off. No reason why we cant be looking at completing multiple deals. We need to !

So this seems to have all gone rather quiet on all fronts regarding Jarvis. Will he be happy to stay and play in the NPC or will he go somewhere in the Prem? Still think he'd be a cracking player to have on the right of midfield and also give us backup to Lallana given his injury record.
