  1. Agreed, have to keep Wallace and Bartley quiet, they bossed us up at their place and we were lucky to get a draw there. Will be a tough ask to keep both Austin (who always scores against us) and Rodriguez (who has scored a few recently) quiet. Wouldn't be surprised if they scored a few with our current leaky defence. Lets just hope we score more.
  2. Sounds like what we've needed for a long time...I remember him on FM a few years back but never saw him play, what happened to him? When/Why did he leave ? Why was he never given a chance ?
  3. Just think if we had a team with GK RB, CB, Mills, Bridge, Dyer, Ox, Surman, Bale, Walcott, Best We really do have an academy to be proud of and lets hope there are a few more on there way through...Chambers/JWP, Reeves, Shaw, Stephens....
  4. Is there ever ?
  5. CB. Not convinced Collins is the right man, but in NA we trust if it is him. Think we are a CB short though at the moment, despite Jaidi/Seaborne coming back. Jos & Fonte - both coming back from injury but first choice. Martin - Done alright since he's come in but we haven't been getting results + been conceding a lot. Jaidi - Wouldn't want to rely on him, think he'd get roasted in this division. Seaborne - Can't really put a timescale on his injury.
  6. Davis Richardson, Fonte, Hooiveld, Fox Puncheon, Cork, Hammond, Lallana Lambert, Sharp Subs: Bart, Martin, Guly, De Ridder, Lee
  7. Yer I have noticed it is very quiet, I just listened on 5Live last night as wanted a more balanced view.
  8. Do they play with 12 players in Holland or no keeper?

    Theo

To lighten the mood a bit after tonights result, here is a nice Theo article talking about Saints. http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/walcott-saints-gave-us-all-a-great-start Walcott – ‘Saints’ gave us all a great start North London has a lot to thank the Southampton academy for, according to Theo Walcott. The striker himself rose through the ranks with the south-coast outfit before being signed as a 16-year-old by Arsenal in 2006. Walcott believes Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s emergence, together with the impressive form of Tottenham’s Gareth Bale, is clear proof of their success in developing players. Of course, Arsenal has played a massive role in bringing their duo up to Premier League standard but the England international believes he received a great grounding with the ‘Saints’. “Imagine if the whole team had stayed together, it would be fantastic,” said the 22-year-old. “It's just a sign that they do things right - they are such a great family club. “They look after their players and it shows, especially with how Gareth [bale] is playing at this moment in time. “Southampton was a great start for me and the other boys but not just for us - there is also Nathan Dyer and Andrew Surman [at Swansea and Norwich]. I could keep on going with that list. It's just nice to see.” Oxlade-Chamberlain impressed in Saturday’s 7-1 win over Blackburn as the youngster scored his first two Premier League goals against Steve Kean’s side. The 18-year-old has produced fine form for both club and country since his summer move from Southampton and Walcott is confident the youngster will keep his first-team place if he continues to shine. “He's very direct and he likes to get at players, which is what any Arsenal fan likes to see,” he said. “He has plenty of confidence and is young - he's a player who nobody in the Premier League has faced before so he's totally new to the game. “He's learning every day in training and you can see now that he is getting games, which is very important. I think with the way he is playing at the moment he will keep that position. “It was nice to see [us both playing well] and hopefully we can just continue to do it for Arsenal now. You never know what might happen with England. “We have plenty of pace in this England team now. It's not just Alex and me, it’s the likes of Stewart Downing and Ashley Young too - there's so many I don't want to leave anybody out. “There are plenty of options for the manager [Fabio Capello] so he's going to have a good headache I'm sure.”
  10. Yer, Man Utd. What about against a team in the same league as us?

  19. Not sure why this isn't in the build up thread. Puncheon out, Chaplow in. Sure there will be multiple changes for Tuesday night. De Ridder/Harding/Chaplow/Hammond/Lee/Jaidi will probably all start.
  20. I dont think we should sing that tbh, It was a crap song. I only got we love it oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo....yawn, The right hand side yesterday seemed to want to sing at a million miles an hour yesterday while the rest actually sang all together.
  21. Was surprised Deano didn't start to be honest, although thought Spiderman had a decent game. Lambert I thought was quite anonymous but it was a difficut game, good point!I stayed with a mate on outskirts of brum and it took us over an hour to get back to his which is a journey which should normally take 10 mins! Couldn't get out to the club we'd planned to go to, so ended up just having a curry and watching MOTD! Support was good, was at the top and everyone looked like they were singing. Funny chant RE Marlon. Sounds like some people had a nightmare getting home. I'm just on way back to Sheffield now, A good point.
  22. I keep saying 'next week' maybe a run out vs Millwall?
  23. I'm in centre Bham and its now stopped, confident it will now go ahead,
  24. Light snow but if it carries on as it is it'll be off I think.
