  1. That is soooo crap, please call them the black community.
  2. Another disgrace is the price of Gas, not got any figures but they've not reduced prices significantly since the wholesale price plummeted.
  3. Fromt he BBC.... "The price of oil is a major determinant of the price of petrol, and yet the current oil price of about $80 a barrel is far below the $147 a barrel-high seen in the summer of 2008, the last time petrol prices neared £1.20 a litre." Fecking disgrace
  4. Dune, please do stop your political leftism, socialism ramblings. This could be a good thread that doesn't need the whole leftie do gooder ****e.
  5. Calf injury, not sure if it's the same one that kept him out earlier in the season.
  6. Why is it a desperate way to save cash? The last time I heard about this scheme the families get an allowance to feed the trainee? Even after reading this thred I'm really not sure what your problem is!
  7. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/03/12/hsbc_data_loss/ The Revenue, along with German tax authorities, previously bought account information liberated from a private bank in Liechtenstein. That case led to debate about how far authorities should go in pursuit of tax dodgers. ® A long way hopefully in Pompeys case ;-) As it happens, I'm not particularly happy with their morals on this one, they're potentially going to purchase stolen data.
  8. Fairly sure this will happen, especially if the -9 has gone through by then as expected.
  9. Justice is justice surely, regardless of the sums involved. It does say he and a mate were found guilty, so there must have been intimidation or a threat of violence. What sum would make this court case reasonable Stu £50? £100?
  10. From sources close to Portsmouth no doubt..... Honest guv we knew nothing about the funds leaving the club..... We were shafted...... Now about that -9....... Unjust........ Not our fault we went into admin........ Call me a cynical old ****, even if it was 5m given their position it wouldn't make any real difference. Thing is, if it's not illegal what can they say, if it was illegal, Robins should have shouted from the roof tops.
  11. We do yes, but they also owed us £120k for the tickets originally, as we didn't ask for payment upfront.
  12. Club Wembley debenture seats?
  13. Rangers a club with a global following? Get a grip SW Saint. They have a large loyal fan base, agreed, but not a global following, unless you're counting the global ex Glasgow family. And don't forget the Scots are going down to 1 place in the CL league, even less money for Celtic and Rangers. Anyway for what is it now £75m? You could buy Newcastle, or has Ashley upped the price now they're going to get promoted?
  14. ****, I'll have to have a pop at my Liverpudlian mate next time he calls me a SouthernMonkey now.
  15. Thanks Goalie. Colleague studied in evening classes, so I'm getting a good feeling for the level of the qualification.
  16. Absolutely, all of the time.
  17. Anyone out there have experience of the US education system? I've got a colleague who has just got a masters, is that the same as a UK masters degree? I ask as she's generally as thick as mince!
  18. From April this year there is going to be some sort of check in place on PL clubs finances. I'm not sure what they're going to do if another club potentially do a Pompey though.
  19. I agree, said that about 20 pages ago now I'd guess. If they're trading insolvently then the first thing AA needs to do is send the loans players back to their parent clubs. That's only right and fair, otherwise they're not on a level playing field.
  20. Which could then be distributed among the FL member clubs to show the PLs ongoing concern about their fellow clubs. Voila! Gesture of goodwill to "enhance" the band after the damage the skates have caused.

  22. disintegrate
  23. I doubt they'lll get away with it, but I did read somewhere today there are grounds for appeal, the -9 is not cast iron. I'm with other posters, the PL will want rid of Pompey after this debacle.
  24. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/newshome/Storrie-to-leave-Pompey.6108304.jp He jumped pretty quickly :-)
