Dont rush him....he has autographs to sign, Cheif exec's and managers to appoint. And that's before he has to deal with the rush of clubs each waving 15 million in their hands for Tommy Smith. Give the guy some slack

I think you are missing the point. My belief is that they would rather have weekly paying customers than money upfront in the basis that cashflow isnt an lssue and weekly purchases could add another 3 million into the kitty for watching the same games.

As the clock ticks on, we are heading towards the business end of this whole shambles. HMRC have played a blinder to date and the use of a 6 month old law to fine them another 10 million, spells out their intentions. They are fooked off with pompey and fooked off with football clubs. I really dont know how HMRC will vote with regard to the CVA, they apparently agreed in principle last time and if they sign it will almost certainly go after the directors for the shortfall, but as you say, it appeas to weaken their hand if they do ahead of the court case. Whatever happens they are in still in a whole world of trouble and I will bare my arse on the townhall steps, if they don't get more points deductions.

I did the same maths yesterday and got roughly the same result; + 1 million. Additionally i think it is fair to assume it will be more expensive to buy a single ticket game than a season ticket divided by the number of home games and that could add another 1 - 2 million. Although it is a mind shift, the reality is, with cash flow not being an issue the Club are better off with fewer season tickets. They know roughly how big the core support is, they know roughly how big the "occassional" fan base is and they know roughly how big the "glory hunter" (Winning streaks and promotion chasing) and the reality is that having them buy for each game, is worth more to the club. I'm disapointed because they have gone back on the Charter (Don't beleive a word of it being just for a year - Listen to Cortesses comments when he delivered it) but this is a big big year for Saints and commercially they will milk it for all its worth and if we all want the same thing (Promotion) then may be it's something we have to swallow.

The only logic that I can associate with the delay in releasing season tickets, the short window they are for sale, the non selling of half season tickets and the removal of the installment plan, is down to this 3 pound transaction charge and higher cost per single ticket. If money is not an immediate issue, then on the assumption we have a core fan base of at least 22,000, then charging over the season and the 3 pound transaction charge, will generate more revenue (This is based on the assumption that individual tickets + the transaction charge, will be more expensive than season tickets over the year). If individuals bonus plans are based on increasing revenue and revenue streams, then if we have a good season and the fans turn up in the numbers they did last year, then it starts to make a tiny tiny tiny bit of sense (At least for the individual, if not for the fans).

If I hear about one more "Non Story" about England flags, Shirts and bunting, it will be too soon. The press seem to love the victimisation story of how people have been told to take their St Georges Cross's down and not wear England shirts during the world cup etc etc, but its not until you get to the last line in super small print that you find out the bunting was flammable, the flag was blocking an emergency exit and the police have never said people shouldn't wear shirts. The problem is the younger generation believe a lot of what they are told or read in the papers as gospel and it leads to resentment and prejudice against foreigners and "The Worlds against us" mentality. The local police had to go on radio solent last week to assure people that they have never said no to wearing shirts, after some facebook group had got so large in protest about something that just wasn't true..... a total waste of time. When I listen to my son and his friends, I realize how naive the younger generation are (They are far from stupid) and how easy it is for the press to shape their views and beliefs. Obvioulsy i'm around to set the record straight with my lad, but that's not always the case for everyone else and at a time when the next generation will be paying for the sins of our past, the press are helping create a society of intolerance. Rant over

He's forgotten what he came to do. Yesterday he was talking about "The spine of the team" and Wilson. Don't be surprised if he appoints himself manager........ actually rule that out, as that would save money and that's not something he is very keen on.

The lease is owned by the Hockey club and they subsidise to the tune of about 80k a year (This is third hand, so no idea how accurate) and apparently this is the last year they are prepared to do it, so unless someone takes up the lease then it could well just shut.

The sporting view (Pub in the Park) Nasty inside ****e beer **** food Expensive pool But the view over Southampton on a summers night, just melllows me right out, always puts me in a good mood and makes me proud to be a Sotonian..... which all sounds a bit gay, but I will miss it when it's gone.

You dont really think that the questions are anything like that do you?

“I guess HMRC is trying to get its pound of flesh from the directors,” he added. + =

LOL, i think Benali would like to know as well.

Did he get paid in full ....as in the original amount he was owed or at the rate that Mark Fry negociated?
-
I have found a bit and correct my statement, that we didn't get a CVA; However, the Football League has confirmed to the Echo on more than one occasion in the last week that extra point deductions are NOT an issue. The only scenario where further deductions can take place is if a CVA is not properly agreed upon exiting administration and, in Saints’ case, a CVA does not apply This above was in the Echo citing Lynams mob and Clapham, whilst you are more qualified than all of us here, i just can't accept that when the club was for sale at 13 million and we then sold Drew Surman for 2 million, that Marcus then went and paid 29 million for it due to his honour. I accept that the debts were discharged in full, but these were at the negociated rate by Mark Fry.... i.e Will you except "X" in the pound, for full and final settlement. or have I missed something?
-
Yes we did
-
The debt stands for secured and 23p for others over 5 years. He can't buy it for nothing. The parachute payments go along way, they don't cover everything, the clu is still losing money and points deductions yet to come.

Posted this a couple of days ago, but rubbish at the quote functionality.... PS won't be charging them much, if anything at all. The safest place for him right now, is in amoungst the action. He needs to know who his friends are, what is being said, what info is being requested by the authorities and which parties are siding with who. The killer for him will be not knowing when that knock on the door will happen; next week, next month, next year???? The only thing he can be sure of, is that it will be coming

Met him a couple of times and a yes a really nice bloke (As i already said) Put a red and white shirt on me and I'd give you two bleeding lungs, that wouldnt make me a premier striker and neither did it Ormerod. Sometimes it's the shape of a team that wins games, so happy to hear the argument, that he was worth his place on that merit, but remain very unconvinced. It always makes me laugh, when people talk about how many goals he set up ..... people should go and check his stats. He was a striker and his goals and assists stats were shocking and not good enough.

Hmmmm (We need Trousers on this one) What type of case would have possible negative information on gaydamak, where he is acting as witness for the prosecution Just a thought............. May be another case, with charges dropped against Gaydamak in return for "Singing Like a canary" ......Only problem could be that the judge that heard that trial and all the bads things about gaydamak (Whilst he was immune), has now been appointed to another trial of which gaydamak is being prosecuted, could that be the play? I'm sure nobody would find it slightly funny if that was the case.
