I get your gist but I wasn't really refering to his mental health issues- More the booze. You could argue that the two are linked, but ultimately he has had access to more help and support than the vast majority of people.

A great character and wonderful footballer, but can't help feeling angry at people with so much talent that they ultimately waste.

I have to admit, I've tired a bit of this little plaything. A few thousand pages back my prediction was they would end up wallowing around mid table in League Two. It seems that is just a few months away and that is the best scenario. And thats the flip side, I guess it all depends on who you speak with and how the deal went. I think Cortese is a bell end for the way he has treated Adkins (Not for firing him) and I could post stories that I beleive to be true on here about him that would melt this board, so I certainly wouldn't consider myself a cortese fan, but the only person that I have met that has had football dealings with him, spoke very highly of him.

I met someone yesterday that has done some football business with Cortese. It wouldnt be fair on either if them to say who it was, but expecting to hear how terrible it was dealing with us, it turned out to be the complete opposite and Cortese was a real gent. We also paid early as well. I've heard the horror stories and it was the first time I have met anyway who has actually had to deal with the guy from a business perspective, but given all the bad press he gets, I thought it was worth sharing.

The best thing for Saints fans is to not get close to anyone at the club, the way the club conduct themselves with other people/ businesses or try and understand the reasonig behind any decision. ..... And I am being deadly serious by the way. That way you just get to enjoy what we do. I read posts on here and think you haven't got a clue and then realise they are the lucky ones. Their football is pure footbal, no politics, no malice...just football.
