Any one of a large number of managers could quite easily get this squad to a mid-table finish and a final in the league cup. The problem is that Puel has done it with torpid, negative football that fails to entertain or inspire. But worse than that, is the fact that our reputation as a pocket Superclub , tucked in behind the big six, feeding a seemingly endless supply of talent into the upper echelons of European football is fast fading. This will make it harder for us to recruit rough diamonds this summer and next. The other unpredictable variable in all this debate of course is the ownership question. I don't see Puel's fate being sealed until that is also settled One way or another first. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The recent performances suggest a team that knows it is about to be broken up and many offloaded but not to glamour clubs.

It's Deja Vu

Les knows...

Les Reed got a big summer ahead of him. We need to buy goals, and defenders.

Come on Saints.

Miraculous, given we were playing Liverpool.

Forster having a blinder!

Liverpool have been very poor.

It's opening up.

Oh no. - he's a great character - everyone loves him and it's all part of the great theatre of the "Premiership"...

See us nicking this...

Hahahaha

Miss it please.

Redmond on to start putting pressure on Liverpool now.

I guess they think it is marginally more entertaining than the stuff on the pitch.

Liverpool don't look like scoring in a month of Sundays.

Gabbi's guile nearly had him through a couple of times. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Good defensive display designed to frustrate the Dippers, who don't seem to have any creativity.

Gabbi got a black belt in judo?

Shut it, Klopp

Our tactics seem to be to bore Anfield and Liverpool to death.

Solid enough start.

It is arguable that those "improved" have simply played more, and improvement is an illusory effect of that. Most were previously understudies and so have simply emerged from the shadows of their more illustrious, long-sold predecessors. What is clear is that too many players have gone backwards under Puel's stewardship.

Proves my point - look what happened to him once Marcus' shared ambition and nourishment was lost. He was dispensed with.
