  1. Summer finally coming home to roost?
  2. The honeymoon is over, Ron.
  3. The table is a perfectly correct and true reflection of the state of the teams so far. It cannot be false by definition. All teams deserve to be wherever they find themselves in the table at any given time.
  4. Dagenham
  5. LoL - I am praying for a Bompey win on Weds. Will suit our designs on winning the Cup to boot.
  6. It seems everyone detests Monday night matches - and to be honest they are more often than not damp squibs. Friday has a lot more going for it - beginning of the weekend, people more likely to have a beer or 6 and create a better atmosphere.

    Hesketh

I would prefer that the wonderful but delicate, waif-like Academy youths got their debuts against cultured teams like Arsenal and Chelsea, rather than risk injury at the mercy of scything thugs that turn out for the likes of Burnley and Stoke. They'd likely shine more in such games, and, as we are not perhaps expected to win against such opposition anyway, playing them is not such a wider risk either. lets pray it is nothing serious.
  8. My wife and I started off in a council estate in south east London. We bought the place after a few years and grafted our way up to a 8 bedroom Georgian Rectory. We're not all 6-fingered, genetically close, scum.
  9. Last season all over again...
  10. I think the likes of Hesketh should be given debuts against the cultured artisan teams like say Arsenal or Chelsea, not the scything northern neanderthals like Burnley.
  11. Nauseating. United plastics in our home terrace.
  12. and get nicked for drink driving...!
  13. Your firm must have to leave at half-time with that injury list...!
  14. I'd prefer the entire Northam end to be made standing terraces rather than adding more prawn sarnie and tourist seats. Of course it won't happen as it needs legislation to be repealed. A bank of 10,000 raucous working class lads paying say £10-15 per ticket would improve the atmosphere no end.
  15. If Plastics exist, presumably there must also be the polar opposites, or 'Granites' ?
  16. I just can't understand how such a div as Brenda doesn't get more grief. As for "fashionable" - thats plain risible. He's achieved nothing, lucked out with Suarez, and looks like a failed washing machine salesman. But, it has started to turn in earnest against him and the club - this are scathing assessments: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/picturegalleries/11284607/Liverpools-woeful-summer-signings-ranked-and-reviewed.html http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/liverpool/11284410/Liverpools-problems-Delusions-of-grandeur-transfer-duds-and-failure-to-fix-clear-flaws-in-the-squad.html
  17. I always park at least a mile and a half away at a secret location and walk to the ground and back. Never any problem with traffic. What is there to rush home for? X-factor? Strictly ? A session with the wife? It is all in the head.
  18. A hero who deserves a medal!
  19. Quite. Shhhhhssshhh! Don't let on that the CL is actually rather dull and and a turn-off for the majority of the competition! And for heaven's sake don't let it get out that it's just not as popular with Joe Public as the TV and vested interests make out!
  20. The cold dry wind howls and tumbleweed blows across Lallana's now bleak hopes of CL football....
  21. Absurd comments by Townsend...it was like a martial arts eye-gouge technique. Red card and then some.
  22. Gutting. Time to blood the Academy lads.
  23. Oh well, the top 4 will be was it should be, and all will be well again in Premier League land...
  24. Cmon Saints!!
