Quite. Having been there a few times now it is just as soulless as any modern place and the atmosphere even worse than 'the library' Highbury. Nice corporate facilities but these horizontally bisect the banks of fans right around the entire perimeter creating a natural 'break' in the spread of songs and atmosphere across the staduim, rather like a fire break stops the spread of bush fires. It is no coincidence in my view that they've won **** all since going there. Not the full story, but an overlooked factor.
Massive result out of a frankly dull, poor game. Neutrals on Sky would have turned off in their droves. Well done chaps - these games are tough to win.
Yes this is what my heart says too, I detest the club or more precisely it's recent history. Deeply dodgy unpalatable people involved such as 'Arry and Briatore. As someone else said, a classier Portsmouth.
Yes, but when it is delivered with such relentlessness, and using repetitive, simplistic and trite vocabulary it loses any power eventually. The audience switches off.
Yes, Hansen and Shearer, while generous in their praise of Saints, lack the vocabulary to convey, or indeed the intelligence to make, the incision and analysis of Neville.
In her day, a very sexy thinking-man's MILF. Now her legs have gone and she's prone to injury. Should retire gracefully into punditry or management. Failing that, Strictly Come Dancing beckons.
Yes, but at least the pundits and presenters always purr about Saints' performances when we win, rather than focusing on how weakened Chelsea/'Pool/City were....
