  1. They're breaking the law, they can grab hold of them and pull them to the ground - which I might add is exactly what the stewards did, with no qualms at all.
  2. This is exactly what I mean. If they are there to prevent trouble, why oh why did they stand 5-10 yards on the pitch and let people run past them?
  3. I have to say, it would feel much more like "our" Saints if Pardew was sacked and we had another season of rebuilding.
  4. PA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA That is absolutely bloody ridiculous. :smt043:smt043:smt043:smt043
  5. So basically, Pardew made some comments that Cortese took great offence to, as a result the programmes were pulled and Pardew will now be sacked?
  6. Did you not hear all the boos and whistles when the announcements were made then? Do you not think that the atmosphere got just a wee bit more hostile after that? I just don't understand the point of having the police there if they aren't allowed to act. They certainly didn't put people off running on the pitch.
  7. If Pardew is replaced by Poyet I will be absolutely fuming.
  8. Is it so hard to understand what I am saying? Yes, the people who went on the pitch are to blame - they looked like a bunch of c*nts. I am just asking why the police were there if they weren't going to try and stop people from running on the pitch, as IMO all the "preventative measures" were a massive contributing factor to the tension at the end anyway.
  9. I completely agree I wasn't suggesting at all that anyone be arrested or banned, I just cannot understand why we had 1st line of defence stewards scrabbling around with the police behind them (on the pitch, I might add) not moving a muscle as people legged it past them.
  10. Yes multiplied by pi.
  11. Leading on from this, I saw only one person on the pitch who looked older than 16...
  12. Well he said the team with about half an hour to kick-off. Southend team, that is.
  13. Jesus christ. They WERE on the pitch. Why were they there then?
  14. See my last post you troll.
  15. Absolutely, if they think there is a threat to the players/staff on the pitch they should take action. So why stand there and watch calmly as people sprint past them towards the tunnel?
  16. Of course the police aren't fully to blame, but once again you are showing why it is difficult to comment on scenarios you did not witness. There was NO tension at all in the air until they all lined up and the tannoy announcer started spouting off every 2 minutes.
  17. The announcer never says the opponents team at kick-off, only pre-match.
  18. What, by standing there letting people break the law after inciting them to do so?
  19. Bloke in the megastore said the printers messed up. Non-story.
  20. Yeah, because he really looked like someone who was leaving ala Pahars.
  21. *Sorry, I meant incitement... There was absolutely nothing brewing/mentioned during the game until they all lined up down the front and the announcements started. Then people ran on the pitch, and whilst the stewards tried to stop them the coppers LITERALLY didn't move an inch.
  22. Absolutely fantastic signing if true. Wasn't expecting a RB of such quality.
  23. Ian Baird, not Chris I take it.
