The point could also be made that at that age some kids might feel awkward in a family environment that isn't their own, making them feel even more home sick. You hear from the players who it helped but i'm sure there are just as many, if not more, who had to leave the club due to homesickness anyway.

If it's been proven to work in the past then obviously I was wrong, but reading that they make it sound as if they housed the players themselves and have given up on that trying to save money.

Well i'd say a proper lodge for the youth players would be the best way (which is what I thought we had anyway).

If the studs were showing or the boot was above knee level I would agree with you, but I am talking about a challenge where a player swings for the ball, misses but also misses the man. Are you telling me that could conceivably be given as a penalty? Nobody has the right to tell the defender that he deliberately tried to take the man in that situation, as nobody but the defender knows for sure.
