Blackstock was sold for £250k, the same as BWP, but with a massive sell on fee.
Burley did NOT want to sell him, this has been stated by him, Blackstock, Lundekvam and Leon Crouch.
Well Strachan obviously rated McDonald because he is having a love-in with him at Celtic, and Blackstock said himself that he requested a transfer to be guaranteed first team football. Burley said he didn't want him to leave but wouldn't stand in the way of the player.
Scouts are sh*t, they told me to sign Bojan as a last resort after he scored 46 goals in 43 games and got world footballer of the year.
(This is with 20/20 judging player ability/potential).
It's been like that all season. I can remember being away to QPR when Bart, Davis and Webster were just f*cking about taking shots at each other, and then 5 minutes in Davis wasn't concentrating, missed a cross and Dexter scored.
Diarra was straight from you from day one though and told you that you were just a stepping stone. I suppose honesty must have some credit among your lot after all.
I lost count of the amount of times Perry and Lancashire had things covered in the middle and yet Skacel came inside anyway, leaving whoever was on the right for United at that time completely free.
Not just in this game - he does it pretty much every match. Luckily he manages to get in last gasp tackles so it hasn't cost us (yet).
No. When play shifts across, you are still meant to keep the same back four. Skacel for some reason decided to come to the near post instead of covering Gibson, who scored.
Thank f*ck i'm not the only one.
Defensively I thought Perry and Lancashire did very well, always forcing Berbatov and Welbeck wide where they couldn't do anything except cut back (at which point Skacel and James should be covering, which is what we truely lacked IMO).
