  1. I didn't say I don't care about the stats, I said he doesn't look confident still because of the fortunate nature of the goals scored.
  2. Turkey or Italy would be my guesses. Relatively big leagues so can afford to pay him the sort of wage he'll want, and also places that haven't been shy about taking players with questionable morals in the past.
  3. Anyone know what his save percentage was? Asking for a friend.
  4. I don't know, do you?
  5. I think his goals so far this season have been the embodiment of calm finishing, personally.
  6. I think everyone agrees Armstrong can get goals at this level, but so far even with him having the same amount of goals as Che he still doesn't look confident. His goals have come from two penalties and a shot from Tella bouncing off the back of his head, not the same quality.
  7. You're right. I should have said there is no realistic circumstance in which him signing a new contract is beneficial to him without the power of seeing into the future.
  8. Sulemana is superior to both right now. His performance against Liverpool last season was superb. He would be an unbelievable player to have on the left with Tella on the right.
  9. No guarantee a club comes in for Adams at all next summer to be fair, even at £10million. There is no circumstance in which signing a contract is beneficial to him.
  10. We're a league lower now. We're in a league in which Jos Hooiveld and Danny Fox were top defenders. Che Adams will get us goals this season. If he fires us to promotion and then leaves on a free, absolutely brilliant. I have more faith in him than anybody else we are going to realistically get in to replace him.
  11. I've given him praise in the past. This has escalated in a bizarre way. I literally just posted his save percentage stat. I have no hatred for him. Do I think he's shit? Yes. Do I think he has potential? Yes. Do I think he'll reach it? I'm doubtful, and certainly not this season. He is at very best a huge gamble to have as our number one. My opinion of Bazunu is far less vitriolic than some of the things spouted on here about Elyounoussi, Onuachu, Armstrong, Aribo or even Che Adams.
  12. I agree. All I did was update a stat that I said in advance I was going to update.
  13. We're in a situation where everyone in the squad is available for the right price, I think. £10million for Aribo would probably do it (although loan with option is a little strange, I guess).
  14. Your son is still shit, Mr Bazunu.
  15. Have to admit I might have to concede the debate now that Dirkdiggler is quoting someone with this in depth level of football knowledge...
  16. Those lists are just subjective opinions with no evidence quoted to back it up. I prefer judging ability from the objective statistical record alongside my own eyes rather than putting stock in the opinion of (checks) Abdullahi Ishola from topsoccerblog.com, who lists Bazunu being of Nigerian descent as a reason that he is highly rated.
  17. Seasons started and he's first choice for them, seems a reasonable price to me IF we believe he can progress to be a Prem player.
  18. It's really not. The defenders may give up chances but that has no bearing on whether he has the ability to make the save at the end of it. So you're going to put stock in THAT but not statistical analysis which is used by experts throughout the professional game world wide to judge performance? 😂
  19. That's irrelevant to the quality of the chance and the likelihood of it being scored or saved.
  20. Guess you don't understand how it's calculated then. And it absolutely is valid. It shows that Bazunu conceded 16 chances that historically keepers were more likely to save than not.
  21. That's exactly what that figure is "worrying" about. It's saying that he conceded more goals than expected to based on the quality of the chances, and when compared to the record of other keepers came out worse than any other.
  22. A loan move might be an interesting option. If we get promoted then we get him back with a years experience at a top Bundesliga side. If they want to sign him we have the Prem pulling power to demand a high fee. If we don't get promoted and they want to sign him, he'll clearly still be worth a lot. One thing we shouldn't do is loan him with an option to buy as that limits the fee we can receive.
  23. This thinking makes no sense to me. Adams might get injured so we better sell him for £15million. Then we sign a replacement probably for similar money, who may not settle in, may not click with the players or may just not be as good - and then he might get injured next week as well. Either way we're gambling £15million, at least with Adams he knows the team, is settled, has had a pre-season with the squad and the manager and has started the season with 3 goals in 3 games.
  24. Interesting point. 8% of the squad were black. 4% of the UK population is black. In the interest of representational diversity we should drop either Carter or James from the squad. (Disclaimer - clearly not serious).
  25. Regardless of him not being convicted of rape the audio clip that came out makes it very obvious that he was trying to.
