Yeah, I agree. Goalkeepers, when they are sh*t, take a larger share of responsibility than the rest of the team. The flip side is when you have a great game you get lauded as having single handedly kept your team in the game.

You're reading it completely wrong. The number on the X axis is the percentage of long passes completed, not the total amount. It doesn't matter how many passes have been played in total - if, like Bazunu, you've completed 60% of short passes, then 4 out of every 10 short passes are going to the opposition.

It's a percentage so it doesn't matter how many short passes he's played, he's still the worst in the league at it. And long ball pass completion is as much to do with the person receiving it as the keeper punting it up field.

He literally has no redeeming features to his play, nothing he does that other keepers (even on our bench) could do just as well if not better. Said it many times, I don't care how good he is in 5+ years time, he's costing us our place in the Premier League. With a better keeper we'd be outside the relegation zone right now.

Yeah, we all know he put the defender off. But that wasn't his intention and he got incredibly lucky. If the defender had just kept his composure and assumed Bazunu was going to miss the ball then he'd have nodded it into an empty net. Even without making a proper connection, all that had to happen was for it to rebound anywhere on target and it was a guaranteed goal because Bazunu abandoned the net and threw himself past the ball.

Our players aren't mobile enough for the short passing we try to play. They just position themselves and then stand there being marked out of the game. We need to be moving about, trying to get into space, even fullbacks and midfielders from short goal kicks.

All three are better, there is not a single shred of evidence that Bazunu is better than any of them. They're not great but they have on many occasions put in performances that earned their sides points - Bazunu has not. We haven't kept a single clean sheet this season that we wouldn't have also got if we had Sammy the saint in goal, because the only clean sheets we've kept are when there are zero shots on target.
