I hope he takes some time to reflect, become a calmer, more rounded person and sort his head out. It must be depressing to be Nathan Jones right now sat there staring at the wall with your missus trying to act as if you haven't utterly failed.

Fair point, but really the job he did at Villa was Ok, not terrible, it's just that their expectations had gone up a level.

Of the options being discussed he's the best one I think. I'm actually coming round slightly to Gerrard. Poor at Villa with huge expectation yes, but look at how Rangers have dipped since he left. We might go down with him in charge but he'd stay to rebuild and I think it would be good experience for a manager who clearly has potential to do well. Obviously I'd prefer us to stay up but I could see our squad being a good fit for him - and he may even get Aribo doing something (anything!).

Just notice that Tedesco was confirmed as Belgium coach 4 days ago. If we'd sacked Jones after Brentford we may have still had a chance of getting him in.

I was just talking generally in terms of not being up to what is required. The "not fit to wear the shirt" moniker is reserved for that horrendous team that Poortvliet put together that got us relegated to league one.

Relegation is far from a certainty. There is a team of 11 players in this squad that could keep us up playing the right type of football.

He could, at some point in the season, make a save. One that he's not expected to make. Like all good keepers do. It's not much to ask of a premier league first choice goalkeeper.

Yet another game where Bazunu makes zero positive impact on events. He didn't touch the ball with his hands once, claiming crosses or making saves.

The bloke is unhinged and losing it more and more every time we hear him speak. It's not so much that I feel sorry for him, more I worry about what will happen to him and those around him if he's pushed beyond his limit.

Some of them yeah, Bednarek, AMN, Bazunu. But take those out for better players not utilised, the rest of the team showed enough to make me think we could stay up if we had a decent manager.

Yeah, whichever one of them it was (seems to be Rasmus) that made the decision to hire Jones needs to be relieved of that decision making from here on out.
