And I was saving myself for Onuachu being officially announced...nevermind. Back in 5, lads.

We've called for money to be spent without sales for years now. This season will be around £140-145million spent with only £5.5million brought in. Hopefully the gamble pays off.

Remember hearing good things about him. Guessing he hasn't really progressed.
-
Only way this deadline day could get better after Onuachu is if we sign a decent experienced keeper on loan or something.
-
£18million is a very reasonable price for a striker with his record. If we're dropping this transfer in favour of the fucking Sulemana one which costs more I will be fuming.
-
Considering truly two footed players are very rare maybe it's just an unreasonable expectation for someone to be able to do something that feels fundamentally unnatural?
-
Great, another player that doesn't show any end product and won't get the time and space against better defenders to do all the tricks and turns he does in the French league. Hope he does well but I'm very sceptical about this one.
-
Looking at his record I can't help feel this is a desperation transfer from saints.
-
I don't believe it happens very often that clubs are alerted to a players availability via the news. If the agent wants to let a club know, they will.
-
A royal rumble style football match would be amazing. Every 5 minutes each manager picks a player from both squads and they go onto the pitch.
-
Fuck that, we already pay them too much.
-
I haven't seen much of Sulemana to make me excited, but Onuachu gives me real Pelle vibes. Not just a good record to go along with his physicality, but experienced as well instead of a kid.

Yes, it's a clause that benefits the player. It means clubs like saints are more likely to be able to sign bigger players because they know we won't price bigger clubs out of moving for them.
-
No, anyone that bids above the release clause has to have their bid accepted.
-
Didn't Walcott insist on us getting a fee from Arsenal or something like that? Sometimes players actually care about the clubs that took them out of obscurity.
-
Who? Vitinha?
-
I always suspected you...
-
But posters on here don't have the benefits of a premier league clubs scouting system.
-
Christ, like choosing whether to have your balls kicked or punched.
-
Bad wolf didn't say he was ripping the league up he said he was doing ok, which he is. He's a good lower half striker who could get into double figures in the right side.
-
All I've seen is we've had a bid accepted.
-
In the same transfer window we signed Vestergaard for somewhere between 20 and 25 million, Jonny Evans signed for Leicester for £3.5million. Now I know they'd won the league recently but were unlikely to do so again, and with the difference in those transfer fees I have no doubt we could offer higher wages. Evans would have been a much, much better signing.

Seen a lot of stuff about Moussa Dembele online this morning, anything concrete shown up for him or just paper talk?
-
Ah yes, Brighton who have spent £55million whilst receiving £137million this season. Meanwhile we have spent £100million whilst receiving just £5.5million. Imagine the meltdown if we had £82million in transfer fees left unspent. Our issue isn't that we haven't invested enough over the years it's that what we've spent it on has been shit. Lemina, Hoedt, Vestergaard, Carillo, Boufal...all our biggest transfer fees amounting to circa £100million on those 5 players alone, and they did nothing to improve our standing in the premier league. They were all worse than the players they were replacing.
