Jesus and zinchenko two incredible signings that will really make them click going forward. Not just for the goals Jesus will bring, but the space he will create will mean more goals for Saka, Martinelli, Smith-Rowe and Odegaard.
Mental, absolutely mental.
People have such a warped perception of what a good return is for strikers playing for anyone outside the top 6. Getting above 10 is a very good season for a striker playing for a team like Saints.
One thing that is kind of amusing to me is all the ridiculous "White will overtake Rooney as top scorer" nonsense has backfired, as she didn't score another goal once that started, will probably retire after this tournament and therefore can never be described as England's top goalscorer again.
You could almost feel the BBC wrestling with itself whether it should show a replay of Kelly's celebration like they would for the men's 😂
Well done girls, great atmosphere in the pub where I watched it and it was difficult not to get emotional at the end thinking about how far the women's game has come.
This is something I've been thinking of as well. David McGoldrick once scored 42 goals in 40 reserve games as an 18 year old. Reserve and youth football for the best/richest team in the world is completely different to the pressure of being a clubs record signing star striker expected to score enough goals to keep them in the Premier League.
Obviously don't know anything about her but on the face of it that's an impressive signing. Reminds me of signing Sharp in the championship or Barnard in League One.
