The Long Overdue Pointless 2015/16 (Adidas) Kit Thread
Saint_clark replied to The9's topic in The Saints
Why does it need to though? If you're going to have template designs with subtle differences that mean they have to be manufactured separately, why not just have totally different designs? -

This is the point that grates with me. How can a bunch of arseholes skiving off doing some work come up with better designs than people paid to do nothing BUT design the shirt? -
I just don't understand the whole template system. With so much money involved, how difficult is it to come up with something that has more variation than the collar and sleeves to two other teams in the league? It should have been the Keegan shirt. I'd love for us to make a permanent switch to the sash in all honesty.

Premier League footballer tests positive for cocaine

People have been allowed to carry on playing for far less, so he'll be back. Still an idiot though. -
F*ck me, that's the best one by far

So half past quarter past 3? -
From what i've seen of Austin he's big and strong and able to hold the ball up as well. Isn't he only an inch or two shorter than Pelle?

Any idea what time it's going to be unveiled? Need something to do at work and staring at pictures of the kit would be perfect. -

I thought that was a separate sponsorship deal? Well, more fool me. -

I'd like to say once again that i do not understand why it costs more to have a template shirt from a big supplier than it does to have a unique shirt made in house. If we're paying big money to adidas the least they can do is come up with something different, somewhere on the shirt (and don't say the badge...). -
There's nothing to say we can ONLY offer £6million though.

I wonder how other teams manage to move the ball out from the back without these two?
-
Ah, probably. Much in the same way Jaidi is an ambassador to North Africa, he probably covers Central and North America.

Rodriguez has returned - BREAKING: NEW CONTRACT SIGNED
Saint_clark replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I'd still be OK with Clyne and Morgan going, although with the recent news about Clyne... Personally I think we need to sell one of Morgan or Clyne to improve the squad as much as we need, with hopefully Austin and two keepers coming in, plus a few AM to replace Davis, Elia and Djuricic. Unless we're planning on bumping up McQueen and Hesketh. -
Absolutely. I'd already given up on him going, the cynic in me thinks these comments are here alongside the Rodriguez thing just to sell a few more tickets before deadline but...he's putting his neck out in a big way. On another note, what does Ralph do nowadays?
-
Which I guess is the point Bucks Saint was making here...
-
I know, looking back it makes more sense but even so - if we'd kept him, loaned him out maybe, we'd have a replacement for Clyne ready this summer. Then again, it looks like Clyne is more likely to stay now!
-
The one comment that really blew a lot of peoples confidence was "we want to keep our good young players" which I believe was only a day or two before Chambers was sold.
-
Stop it, everyone. Getting our hopes up is a terrible idea! I've given up on Clyne and Morgan, i'm preparing myself for Wanyama to go and i've accepted that Toby is signing for Man City.

I'd just be happy with Wanyama in all honesty. I'm already resigned to losing the other two and i think the money we'll get from them will drastically improve out squad. -

Can we put to bed the "no good player has signed a new contract" line now? -
Unless we're getting relegated I don't think we should get rid of Koeman at all.
-
Long played one game up front for us - against Chelsea - he and we were superb that day. I have no doubt that when Pelle is on form he can score a hatful, but when he's off form get him out the f*cking team. He must have been gutted after this - http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/11859789.Long__Keep_me_up_front/
