Long has been a great signing for us, I don't understand people slating him. Yes he has his limitations but he fits very, very well into the team and the way we want to play.

Shock horror, he plays through the middle and looks miles better - as did Long, and as would Mayuka. We need to stop this experiment of trying to play strikers out wide. It doesn't provide more goal threat, it just renders them completely ineffectual.

The left and right centrebacks play slightly further forward. Aldeweireld was almost playing as a sweeper V Everton at times.

It's called squad rotation. Long is more likely to cause Cahill and Terry problems with his physicality. I think Mane will look a lot better through the middle - he can run off the shoulder of the last man instead of having to take it past everyone from out wide. Mane will score today.

I thought the amount you could have was limitless, it was the amount in the matchday squad that was restricted.
