  1. I think the idea is you have a core of settled players who know each other and the system that the national side wants to play, so after 3 or 4 years they all step up into the first team a few at a time and you have a side that knows, likes and plays for each other in a style of play they know inside out.
  2. Honestly think playing with Gerrard every week is holding him back. Has to do the running of two players.
  3. God no, our system relies on having the extra man in midfield at all times to win the ball.
  4. Indeed, b*stards. I was gonna call it quits after that one as well, typical.
  5. Easy to say that when someone loses, if I'd done that i'd have quit when I only had £17 profit and would never have got to £184 anyway! Swings and roundabouts.
  6. Oh well, only down £40.
  7. I remember that Whatmough (big floppy haired blonde bloke in midfield) playing against the Saints under18s last season. Or was it the season before? Anyway, he was sh*te then and he was f*cking awful today. Despite being the tallest player on the pitch he got repeatedly beaten in the air, tried pushing players over on several occasions and once managing to fall over himself whilst doing it...and apparently he was released from Saints academy!
  8. Why on earth are the Pompey band playing "Oh When the Saints"
  9. Stuck it all on Plymouth 4th, returns £377
  10. Thank'ee
  11. Managed to turn £40 in £92 betting on Plymouth first, second and Reid to score anytime Stuck it all on Plymouth to get the third, returns £184.
  12. No Vergini? Ball dropping down over his shoulder, on the volley....Van Persie scores that everyone goes nuts
  13. Fake. If that actually happened people would be going mental not just slightly cheering.
  14. Regardless, it is literally the only testimony/evidence. You're supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, but I am unable to see how he was proven guilty beyond all reasonable doubt in this case.
  15. If you read more on the link then she clearly gives consent further on (according to them) even telling Ched Evans what to do.
  16. I'm not trying to make him out as a victim, I'm just pointing out how ridiculous the situation can be when you take responsibility away from someone who makes a conscious choice whilst drunk.
  17. Yes, but this is always something that really irks me. If a woman says yes when drunk, she's given her consent. Don't give me the whole "unable to" ********. Everything else you do when drunk - hitting someone, breaking something, driving - you are held responsible for. Why not giving consent as well? People can often be drunk (see: over the limit) and appear perfectly normal, so how are you supposed to know if she's given her consent or doesn't know she's given consent? Also, was Ched Evans stone cold sober? Or was he drunk as well, in which case surely he was unable to give consent and they were both raped...? It's a ridiculous loophole that needs closing. People see drunk and straight away assume they'd unconcious (and in that situation it obviously IS rape!) If a woman gives consent however, then that should be that. If she regrets it the next day well then tough sh*t, we've all done stuff we wish we hadn't when drunk but guess what - we chose to get drunk, we have to take responsibility for our decisions. Apologies for going off on a tangent here!
  18. By those who prevented him I assume you mean the state, it's not Sheffield United (or anyone else in footballs) fault if the courts make a wrong decision, they can only work with what they know.
  19. If he does he cannot expect a transfer in the summer and i'll be p*ssed if he tries to get one. If he doesn't then I won't begrudge him a move.
  20. To be fair his injury was a result of a challenge intended to injure. Few of those from Leicester, particularly one on Tadic where the defender won the ball fair and square but his trailing leg was high in the air and caught Tadic full on in the back of the knee.
  21. Hope he plays V Italy, i was hoping to see Pelle run him ragged.
  22. Excellent, 5k Saints fans up there would make for a hell of an atmosphere, especially if we perform well in our supposedly tougher run of fixtures!
  23. Oh, f*ck off Spurs!
  24. He's clearly worth more than the amount agreed though. It's also dangerous to assume that every signing we make will turn out as good as the rest. Why not bung them a couple of extra million, which he is completely worth, and get someone we KNOW can perform in this league for us.
