That's my worry too. Perhaps when naming a team sheet clubs should have to list who would replace who in the event of such an injury? So it's pre-determined?
My only worry is that he still misses a lot of chances as well, but I guess if he converted a decent percentage of the chances he gets then he'd be into double figures already.
Looked excellent tonight but there were 2 occasions when he tried little flicks when Arsenal were attacking with pace and numbers when the sensible option was to just kick it up for Pelle or even out of touch.
But they were literally the only two dodgy moments, and they were both in the first half. Obviously learnt from it.
Just got in. Amazing performance. Tadic MOTM by a clear mile. Mane a close second for me.
Any highlights? I'd love to see the full 90 again to be honest.
At senior level the best TEAM does better, the team with the better individuals flounders.
At youth level however it reverses. It doesn't matter about having a team that clicks together perfectly, it just matters that you have the best individuals to come through to the first team.
I'm not worried.
Going to make a bold claim here, but so far i think Fonte has been the best cb in the prem this season. Kompany, cahill etc will undoubtably out perform him come seasons end but so far his performances have been top, top class.
Totally agree. The sky commentators infuriated me with Fontes booking, banging on about how "Fonte knew full well he was absolutely never going to get there" etc etc, WHILST the replay was showing that he DID get the ball first. It wasn't even as if he took much of the player out either.
Bonys by comparison were both very malicious to my eye.
Quite funny but not sure what is meant by "fantasyisland"? Are people still saying that Cortese was living in a fantasy saying we could get to europe? Isn't that what we're still aiming for?
Barclaycards are all contactless, I haven't used the feature myself yet. Barclays certainly seem to be ahead of everyone else when it comes to using technology in banking.
