That's fair enough and if he's asked Cortese to let him do so then he should have let him (if!) but I can't see that he's got a case here as Saints haven't done anything legally wrong. It sometimes seems to me that the LMA - as well as the PFA and the FSF - just try to challenge anything and everything to make it look like they're doing something.

It was said a while back that he was placed on gardening leave, not actually sacked. Surely this is the best for both parties? He gets paid what the contract states and if (when) someone else wants him, they have to pay us compensation.
