Why? Yes he was good for us, but when you progress the best thing is to let such players go so they can continue to be successful at the appropriate level. We essentially play with 3 forwards so I don't think we've got too many anyway.

Really not sure why they couldn't do phone sales for this. It's not like they haven't had high demand away games outside of the Prem.

I remember people slating him in his first season for us - 18 years old in a different country playing in a team of sh*t for a nutcase of a manager. I'm so glad he stuck with us, I can't see him ever leaving now in all honesty.

Stern Johns V Leicester was pretty mental for me. A huge 3 points against a relegation rival. Actual top 3 though would probably be; 3 - Sharp V Pompey (second) technically I went mental when the referee signalled, but it counts. 2 - Lambert 3rd V Millwall - incredible stuff. 1 - Fonte V Coventry - as said above, we knew we'd made it.

Sorry guys, only just found this. Pat - the example you've used is a pretty poor one for the point you're trying to make. Some people don't have the time or inclination to read through pages of discussion - agreed. But we can't have a new thread for every single development on every single transfer, much less a new thread for every rumoured development.
