He wasn't really playing with freedom though. He even said himself in interviews that playing more centrally means he has to be more disciplined and track back more.
Surely signing experienced players on big wages (like Reading) is a risk to the long term future, rather than our way of doing it which is a risk to our short term Prem status? If Reading go down next season they could be stuck with Pogrebnyak for 3 years on 50k a week.
For christs sake, it is neither. It is just one flag that someone made up probably to wind up the skates.
Why make a big deal of it, and most of all why now? Middle of pre-season seems a very odd time to suddenly notice this.
He posted porn, was given an infraction, that took him over the 10 point ban point thingy and as it was his second ban it was made permanent. He won't be coming back.
Personally I think there's too much risk of him throwing a paddy, but the fact he went abroad with the squad rather than stayed behind with Barnard, Forte etc. makes it obvious that he's in Adkins plans for this season.
