I don't understand, why would you rather be competing to be somewhere rather than actually being there? Is the "ideal" season finishing third in the NPC and then losing on penalties in the play-off final, just so we can say we did as best as possible without having to actually play in the Prem?

OK I'm confused, is the problem with Fox that he doesn't overlap and get forward enough, or he does it too much? It seems to change from week to week.

Up until the Arsenal game, he had been playing some of the best football I'd ever seen him play. As with everything else football related, it takes longer than four games to effectively judge what effect the captaincy has had on his game.

I hope people don't dwell on the first four games and start getting frustrated early on. I'm confident of a win here.

Well it's not, as Adkins was yelling at them to push up higher for the whole first half and the players just weren't responding. When they listened at half time, we performed much better.

In fairness Davis was getting beaten at his near post last season as well, but it will happen a lot more in the Prem as the opposition will have more chances. It's his biggest failing.

How about actually giving our new players some time to settle in AND play against teams that won't be in the CL spots at the end of the season? Forgetting of course that we're not trying to win a Championship, so judging our defence by that standard is pretty silly.

I honestly think these sort of views will be in the minority.
