Oh yeah, turned 24 in may...for some reason I had it in my head he was born in december.

The point is that with all the money, time and effort going into getting the academies up to Cat 1 status these clubs should WANT to see a return anyway. If the players they're producing aren't good enough for the first team squad, they might as well lower the budget and drop to a Cat 2. I'm not sure they have to be in the starting 11 anyway, just the match day squad. And as I said above - FA and League cup and early CL games are filled with younger players anyway.
-
The top clubs already fill their FA cup/League Cup/CL group games with youth and reserve players anyway.

I can't think of any strikers I'd pick, with the exception of maybe Holt.

Well if that article is correct Lambert and Davis haven't got a chance. I'd be surprised if Lallana isn't involved given how much Pearce has praised him in the past.
-
It's a shame we made the sash a one off from the start, I'd have quite liked a permanent move to it - maybe alternating between that and stripes as the home/away kit.

32,000 people scrapping for the best seats. FFS, can't they get anything right?
-
What you're failing to acknowledge is that all of those you listed would be infinitely better options than Forecast, which was MLGs point. Stop arguing for the sake of it.

Love it. I had the Sheffield United/Walsall pitch invasions as my desktop for the last few years, but this looks really good. Looking forward to our first FA cup win so I can have an image of someone holding it aloft...

Actually last time we had Niemi, Smith and Blayney (with Poke as an 18 year old). Whatever anyone thinks of Blayney, he was decent enough as third choice - he's made a good career for himself in Northern Ireland I believe.

Less than half the posts on this page were actually on topic. Give it a rest guys. If you truly find a few pixels on a monitor to be so offensive that you have to advise others to seek medical help...then I suggest you go out and get some fresh air. Or at least open a window.

You'd be a mug not to take up that option (if you can get to all three of course).

All that raw fish coming back to haunt him?

I know of a girl that slept about in order to get pregnant just to claim benefits. I doubt she even knows which bloke was the father.

I honestly have no idea what you're on about. "Genuinely chaotic" and "headless chicken" suggest to me making runs in the wrong direction, splaying passes 50 yards wide of the mark and hitting the corner flag regularly with shots.
-
I like it. At least no-one can complain about the "come on you reds" chants now.
-
I'm pretty sure that will have no bearing whatsoever on his England chances. Also, not once in the last three years has he looked a "headless chicken". Off the pace and uninvolved perhaps, but never, ever like he didn't know what he was doing.

What a complete shambles our ticket office is!!

Indeed. He even says this in the OP; It's not like he refused to comply with their requests - he went along with every single one, and then was told it was wrong anyway. -
I mean that I would be more passionate about a club success than I would a country success.
-
Don't be so blinkered.
-
The sh*te thing is that after the success Saints have had these past 2 years, we're not used to the disappointment England have just provided. Absolutely gutted. And to answer the threads overall point - club before country, every time. Doesn't mean the success of the club tempers the failure of the country, though.

I thought you meant Motson.

Maybe not, but the manager isn't the only thing to consider. We're a Premier League team with top class facilities. -

No different to anyone else, I bet they get a lot more of it from the fans of the top teams. -
He's right. Beattie has never struck me as professional in all honesty. What he did there was disgraceful.
