I've said all along that they put the prices up quite a lot last year so they wouldn't have to increase them much this year. (IMO of course).
I reckon around 22k will be sold.
Cannot agree with this in the slightest. He went backwards no more than anyone else - keeping the ball was the emphasis this season.
Not tackling? Absurd. He improved greatly in this department.
As for giving the ball away - again, as did everyone else. It happens. They're not Xavi.
Not sure about selling (unless you could set a minimum asking price and not just a valuation) but loaning would work well, I hate having to go through my entire reserves squad trying to loan all my youngsters out for players every single transfer window.
Really...? They don't even get that for Uniteds reserves.
Fwiw, I don't think we will enter one. It kind of defeats the whole point of having the development squad the last few years.
Regarding Vegas being cancelled, I'm sure in the dressing room celebrations you can see a couple of youngsters there - Reeves and Ward-Prowse at least - so perhaps the club didn't want to take the squad on a trip where a few of them would be left out for 90% of the time?
Home grown players have to have been at the club for 5 years before their 21st birthday - I think.
The subs bench being cut down and the fact that we're successful - and therefore have more to lose if a youth player doesn't perform - are the reasons we haven't seen anyone break through recently.
Worth remembering that in cup games last season, Reeves and Ward-prowse played a few times with the latter even getting on the scoresheet.
It would, but it wouldn't devalue the sale. As said above, Newcastle received around £10million for their naming rights - but everyone just calls it St James anyway.
