Based on seeing Richardson put in an outstanding season at Championship level, and not being that impressed by Naughton on the few occasions I did see him. I didn't say he's NOT better, just that I'm not sure he is. I think Richardson will surprise everyone again this year.

Not sure about that, but to help with squad numbers find loan listed players who require no wage contribution. Getting a parent club should help. As far as I know, you can have as many loan players as you want but only include 4 in the match day squad...

You must be right...Cortese and Adkins, as well as our improved scouting network, have rated someone who is probably even worse than Forecast at £6million. No idea why he was picked as number 3 for England, either. Can't be because he's good enough.

When was this? As far as I can remember (I believe Ramos was in charge at the time?) when he signed for us they had Heurelho Gomes, Cesar Sanchez and Robinson had just left.

That wasn't what he was suggesting at all, just that there's a difference between Forecast being in the youth team of a Prem club and Butland being rated as the top young keeper in the country.

But the fact is that if they're downgraded, they're downgraded. The clubs have no say in the matter. Or are you saying that you think they'll continue signing up young players from areas they're not allowed to, regardless of academy status?

It's not the rest of the leagues fault that one or two clubs can't afford to name a full squad though (bearing in mind they're under no obligation to do so - I believe you don't even "have" to name a full starting 11, the minimum is something like 8 players).
