Golden Balls

Gabbi is obviously great, but the ball just doesn't stick when it gets in the final 3rd. We really miss a Pelle/Lambert style player who has to be double marked, keeps the ball in the area giving space and time to others to come forward. I was hoping Gallagher would be that player.

They've been there the last 2 games. Annoying and cringy, but they seem to do the job in the Kingsland and Chapel.

Lol

3 years left on his contract. I'd be happy if they accept £40m+ and reinvest it.

Have I missed something?

What's his hold up like?

This doesn't help my feeling that this takeover is bad news

His brother Kevin has started following Saints and the premier league on Instagram. It's done.

'Southampton are faced with the prospect off beginning the new season with a manager who is foreign to the English game' Didn't he play for Liverpool and was also assistant to Rafa at Liverpool? I'd say he's less foreign to the English game than the child who wrote this.

Never heard of him until an hour ago and now I'm desperate for us to sign him.

Yeah I'm struggling to get that to work too.

Not strictly saints/sport related but has Exodus stopped working? Mine didn't seem to work, uninstalled it and now there seems to be no way to reinstall it.

I started going to games in '92 as a 5 year old. For a long time I never knew a Saints team without MLT and completely took him for granted. It's great watching all his goals. Just think of all the near misses and brilliant assists too though. He was unbelievable. He was obviously loyal (although nearly moved to Spurs) but I just don't think he would have worked in many other sides like he did at Saints.

'Issues beyond the club's control'. Sure.

He was 6/1 to stay at Saints yesterday and he's now 2/1 to stay. With SkyBet that is.

Wait. Which ITKer am I supposed to believe?

This is my exact feelings. The club have made VVD the villain and put themselves in a position where fans accept him being sold. But not to Liverpool.

Haha I didn't realise this. One of the skates at work went on and on about how this was a sellout.

Very sad news about the fan. RIP.

Not a chance. Anyone who hates Liverpool more I can only assume are not from the Southampton area.

Nice of this guy to take his boy to see a proper ground. The little lad can't resist taking photos on his phone to remember such an occasion before being forced back to their hellhole.

Ah. Another case of pick and choose which history to keep from the old club and which history to disregard. I see.

They're insisting it's by the current board and nothing to do with the potential new owner. Of course. I mean, it would be totally in the interests of the outgoing board to do this.

Is it this you are looking for?

As I understand it, safe standing increases capacity in that area, so they'll be more people. And when it comes to things like wanting to be with a group of mates (which does help atmosphere), you can easily do so. At the moment I'm a STH in the Northam. If one of my mates wants to get a ticket and be near us, they have to buy a ticket 10-15 rows away. Would love to have a whole End behind a goal as safe standing for home fans.
