As a precursor to the Stadium expansion, the coach is in the garage being fitted with a second storey making it the second "First Team" coach in the country to be a double decker as our squad will soon be as big as our home attendances The first one in the country can be viewed in the PTS thread in the Lounge

Bugger. That's gonna screw up our plans for the entire #globalsfc membership world domination and marketing schemes. Just lost 15,000 members in North Africa

Southampton FC @SouthamptonFC 2h INTERNATIONALS: @ArturBoruc is in the Poland squad for their #EURO2016 qualifier against Gibraltar in Portugal next week. #saintsfc hmmmm Tough game that against Gib now Danny has retired Now what were we saying?

Ignore the multi posting muppets irene. Artur is a legend and a fantastic personality. He is loved by the Polski Saints and many real fans. We can understand Forster being offered first choice, after all, 90% of those on here are English & see the value of him wanting to stay in the England squad and challenge Joe Hart. They don't see how that affects the rest of the football fans around the world. Forster should have been made to fight for his place, but then he would never have signed. Artur deserves better, BUT it is crazy to expect a deal to sell him in 3 days AND for Saints to find a #2 keeper can happen, so he's going to have to wait his chance like so many other PL players. IF he is the man we all think he is, when he gets in THEN he should make sure his performances and leadership mean Forster has a temper tantrum. Meanwhile happy we are keeping Gaston. He looked to be back to a real threat until that utter moron Wes Brown tried to break his ankle last year. Hell it would have been goal of the season. Let us hope Gardos is a Lovren not a Forren. Then we can make do until January. After all, we have a hell of a better base of a team even with the departures than Manure do at the moment.

Oh FFS I won't be able to go down Barasti to watch with the gang. I won't be able to watch on TV. I'll be being TMS's on the spot totty reporter at the Ryder Cup launch party in Gleneagles Krap. not,

To our complete amazement, BeIn Sports are showing Millwall v Saints tomorrow night on Channel 4HD They are also showing the CL qualifiers, AND they are showing Manure v MK Dons so a wide range of games being covered, we expect to only have Arabic Commentary. We are however all meeting up at Barasti to watch the game. So, for overseas Saints check your local listings as this could well be on in your neck of the woods as well. It also means (contrary to a resident expert on everything on every thread who posted above) that there will be streams around for those who look hard enough.

I'm quite surprised anyone on here has actually heard of this. Seeing as you need Friends to nominate you that is. Oh and it is NOT a two bit challenge. The father of my best pal back in UK died of Motor Neuron Disease some 15 years ago. The total lack of understanding and then support, counselling and medication made the final years of his life HELL for the entire family. This has raised over US$50million since 7th August, a figure that WILL make a difference. With all due respect Shurlock it would be Karma if you or one of your family contracted it.

Whatever... As I said, due to the INJURY crisis facing England http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2732795/Frank-Lampard-set-surprise-England-call-Roy-Hodgson-facing-midfield-injury-crisis.html Like I said, thank God he was crap Saturday. If he had played a Worldy then he would have been in "the frame". The article also mentions how Lewington watched both him and Berahino.
-
Thank God he had a bad game yesterday and that his FK didn't go in. With England decimated by retirements & Injuries there was a very real chance he could have been called up for the games against Norway & Switzerland. We all know what happens to our lads when they go off with England! Luckily he was crap in front of Ray Lewington so they'll pick Fabian Delph instead and screw up Villa's season.

No rythm to our attacking play, no pace when we moved the ball around. Last year Davis seemed to be the Metronome, this year he doesn't even seem to get in the game. Very poor pass accuracy stats. Don't blame Pelle at all. We as a team have to start playing to his strengths NOT simply lumping the ball in his direction. Long's name wasn't mentioned for about 30 mins of the 2nd half Dull and lifeless, and wtf with the crowd? SMS seemed as empty as nottarf. These things will come in time, but with this set up we need a fit Ramirez on the right hand side.

Danny Welbeck - Told he can leave.. Only for mid table club

Ronald Koeman on Artur Boruc's future at Saints
dubai_phil replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
To me this all sounds like. Artur has a hissy fit which we can understand. RK says fair enough we only want players in the squad who want to be here so go find a club, no doubt a figure on his value could be guessed at by all parties. Boruc now has 9 days to find a club or he will be stuck here until January. If he doesn't find a club then he knows himself he would have to knuckle down and get SOME game time or he would get no chance to get a decent club/salary come January. Saints probably have someone lined up they can loan in or they may feel that Gazza is another year wiser. (Oh gawd hope not). Saints fans have come to love him. He is a great keeper and character and his stats last year were awesome. But I think many fans feel deep down that he may have (or have had) some external distractions (which may all be non PC stereotypical bullkrap) OR we think deep down those stats were down to VW, our set up or our defence & our way of defending from the front. The door is not closed on him but it is very clear he needs to leave. #regimechange -
OK gang. One of my valuable 3 posts a day and no mention of Golf. Oh. Just watched possible the WORST film ever made. I mean it is SO bad, it is in the Mars Attacks category of Bad Films. Actually, it could be up there amongst the BEST Bad fims ever made. Machete Kills. Look it is dreadful. It is a sequel to a much better crafted story. It has an almost insane list of A-List Actors who have about 5 minute cameos in it (including Lady Gaga who narrowly lost to Kim Kardasian in the Golden Raspberry awards as worst actress. In it's defence it has an all grown up Michelle Rodriquez and Bearsy will LOVE the Whore House Chicks (The strap-on gag is a classic). The knife fight fairly early on where the cloned super soldier is stabbed in the gut by Machete is meh, until the actual "death scene" which to be honest is beyond Tarantino in creativity. Possibly the most gross death scene concept ever? It is simply dreadful. I chortled all the way through and PMSL with a complete ROFL at one point. Get a bucket of beers in, kick the kids & misses out and grab a barf bag. Bloody great. (Stars Danny Trejo, with Charlie Sheen, Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, Gaga, Cuba Gooding Jnr, Antonio Banderas and Mel Gibson as a baddy who makes Goldmember look sane and well acted) Bloody crap. a future classic! Can't wait for the sequel Machete Kills in Space) - yeah, THAT bad. Note I do watch proper films but you lot normally see them before me and post great reviews. Oh & Bear? The knife throwing bra is but the start.........

Why the fark are so many posters on here defending the possible purchase of a Pochetraitoro cast off? Townsend? Really? Would rather give Rowe & Sinclair a chance.

Ever Fell Out With a Saints fan with a different opinion in real life?
dubai_phil replied to St.JonB's topic in The Saints
I fell out with John Boy Saint. He gawped & drooled all through the first half of a match 2 years ago when I had to send Mrs D_P up to his part of the Chapel cos could a seat together. Watch out for him, nasty piece of work. I think I fell out with Minty or someone in Benali's after the first forum match but I have no idea how who or why. In fact the only way I know I went there was 'coz I found a receipt a few weeks later. Oh and I fell out with one poster who borrowed some cash from me in "desperation". He pleaded poverty, then turned up at the last game of a season giving it large in a Tux and waving Champers at people. Him? No problem, been describing him to a few of my buddies up in central Iraq at the moment. Karma will be a b1tch for him of PTS levels. Oh, and once I get farking paypal to work you lot will ALL fall out with me. There is a Golf Thread coming to TMS within the next 4 weeks.... (Anyone spot my mate Tiger Ice Bucketing Rory today?) Loved how Rory nominated George W Bush and then kaboom - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Po1R1NgOMsE -
Great stuff TF. Sums up the feelings we had while watching down at Barasti. Keep up the great work SAS!

I haven't bounced out the pub in such a good vibe since our L1 days when we scared Manure to death in the Cup. Like everyone (and I think a lot of the players) I had a deal of trepidation going into the game. We offered no great attacking threat in the 1st half but then in the 2nd we came out in a different gear, and we scared them to death. The Scousers in the Pub had looks of disbelief on their faces for all the 2nd half. Wasteful finishing or we could have won that. Wanyama seemed to play a bit higher in the 2nd half and they made Liverpool look like England in the WC. Tadic looks a real find, clearly still needs to adjust to the pace & build his stamina as does Pelle, but on this performance and with Gardos in and JRod back we could actually turn out BETTER than last year. That Video #wemarchon got me buzzing, today makes me REALLY hacked off that BeIn won't be showing all the games so we can only get together down the pub about once a month. We won't need to look over our Shoulders, but the Spuds & Manure may.

I agree with your sentiments Nick, especially think that the bond we did have between the players last year was something very special and that we may never see again for a long time. Certainly that has been poisoned in this summer as the leavers, MS & Boruc appear to have shown. I do however recommend that article in The Independent today. Reed does make a very valid point in that the club did have to wait for Koeman to get his feet under the desk, assess what he had and THEN involve him in the process of selecting replacements. He may not be in charge of player recruitment but it was good to see that the club stated they wanted his inputs, it was a big stick that TSW has used to beat the club with in the past. This season really is all about the start, we get off to a flyer then the new spirit will take hold quickly and gelling becomes easier. If we don't? #shudder. I still think we need another CB, but then maybe the club think Stephens could be ready by mid season and after a Capital One Cup debut. Who knows? I'd still rather be a Saints fan right now than Palarce or Villa that is for sure. Hell, having read FB and some of the press this morning, right now I feel a helluva lot better about this season than most of the Manure fans I know! One of them I know put 50 quid on them being relegated last night!

This is the problem with the forum. So many people believe they are experts on every subject. Leave the Desert analogies to the Desert Experts thank you very much. The grin on his face is because he had just been watching the Saints down at Barasti. I like the supreme positivity of the OP. Like all of us I have been getting sh1t all summer from fans of other clubs. I've tried to turn the negatives into positives. Some have worked really well. "You signed Rickie Lambert as the replacement for SUAREZ??" Works every time. "Lallana can only play for 60 minutes, 25 mil for a bench warmer?" Then requires lots of explanations of Heart Operations and the like so that usually fails. My favourite? "Yeah, we knew all along we had to make changes. We are building to a plan for the Champions League. The squad last year wasn't good enough, they could only scrape us into 8th place. We've now brought in better players, strengthened the squad AND got some spare cash in the bank to extend the Stadium, how's your new 3-5-2 system going Plastic Man?" That one works MUCH better than doing a Chicken Little. Oh and my other favourite? "This must have been Alpine's Dream Summer. We finally got to sign 7 players before Deadline day" (Expecting a tonking today, who cares we're meeting the crazy gang again and drinking beer)

More great news - Garmin Become Official Partner
dubai_phil replied to Turkish's topic in The Saints
You do know that Sat Navs are very helpful on the golf course don't you? All our Golf buggies down here have GPS tracking in them. I will certainly be demanding that they now retro-fit Garmin on all them. Oh, and don't worry, there will be some stupendous golf stories & articles coming along very soon. Once I've sorted out a major war with Paypal. Oh and thanks to above posters for the quips. I have nicked them for the Dubai Saints FB page. -
I like Cork a lot. However, our midfield WAS better when we played Wanyama, Morgan & Davis in CM. Our points per game average was better with them at the core of the team. Cork did not play for half the season then did a good job of covering, but not as good as our first choice three. I do not want to see him leave, BUT it was clear last season that we needed to find somebody BETTER than MS/VW/SD in order to improve the team. I won't wet my bed YET, because it may well be that the Management have identified a player who is better than what we have as our first choice CM's. It may be JWP/Harry Reed or it may be a new signing. I'm gonna go find some toys and an old pram and have it ready for midnight on 1st September, until then 1) I am not surprised and 2) Maybe MS has sorted his head out and will stay longer or 3) Somebody BETTER is coming in. (Yes I know the "how can we be sure we get someone better?" caveat, "are they proven in the PL?", "will they fit the team spirit?" etc "will they be another Shane Long FFS?") (actually think that Shane could work out quite well btw at least the Guly haters have a new focus!)

Think we can take the events of this summer to actually answer that. We sold half of 1st team squad "At a Premium Price" is the phrase that has been bandied around. My opinion is that NC had those people around, however, I would assume that their valuation of the Club would be "realistic" and that none of them were prepared to pay "A Premium Price". KL doesn't HAVE to sell. She simply needs (needed) an offer she cannot refuse. Personally I am not sure I'd be happy being bought by an idiot at a 30/40/50% Premium to our actual value. I'd doubt their sanity/motives. Wise investors probably walked away.

Radu Baicu @rbaicu 7m Gardos should sign this week for Southampton. Medical exam last weekend, Steaua already signed a CDF, so #UCLplayoff no longer an issue.
