  1. That is sooooo FB'd & tweeted. ROFL. Almost as funny as Trousers being with O2. All it needs now to complete the set is that he works for Barclays & has his life savings in HSBC
  2. So say..... that complete Twits don't need it
  3. How the freak did you do that so quick? I copied as it came up & you STILL beat me to it!
  4. In it's own way? As poetic as anything from RB
  5. Pah. Who needs SaintsPlayer & Match day threads this season? EVERY Saints PL game is live on telly down the Pub. And we've discovered that EoA has a special "secret handshake 50% Discount on Beer" Loyalty Card 37.99 last season would have been 7 pints. This season it's 14 WOO HOO!
  6. Yeah and leave out a player with 11 PL games, one PL goal and (by the start of the season) Big Match International Experience. You know, the one who's better than Beckham
  7. Oh, on the Vodka front. Wyborowa. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wyborowa One lesson I learnt from FMDP - I now do a rofl (SMALL) Vodka tasting session for mates - start with a Smirnoff Red, then a Stoli then when the Vibby as it hits the spot the look of amazement is always awesome. Being a self made bstd I always finish the tasting session off with a shot of Spirytus Delikatesowy Vodka http://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/P-9042.aspx Oh now THAT is always a funny reaction. 95% Note I did mention SMALL tastes, even I would never give someone a full shot and make them do it in one. Except on Stag nights or certain to certain Karaoke DJ's in Dubai....
  8. Shouldda guessed - Girly Drinks. Moi - apart from the occassional legendary Bullfrog. Old Pulteney A proper Cuba Libre in a very long glass and in the summer down here after golf? Vodka & Pocari Sweat with a slice of lemon You guys will never understand Pocari unfortunately, but it is a fantastic Isotonic drink out of Asia. Isostar & Powerade are just gash in comparison. (Oh Vodka & Lemon & Lime Gatorade works quiet well in an emergency)
  9. Perhaps we have been far too generous in our recording of the travails of the fish. Methinks we should have simply adopted the dodgy referee song from the off. Seeing as TB was formerly the head of a football club, and was rumoured to be in line for a return to football at SMS with one of the many tyre kicking bids back in the day, think we dodged a bullet there. Anyways, I'll head off to bed humming You don't know what you're doing...........
  10. Hmmm. Will he keep it going?
  11. And the same one who said Chinny's secured debt status was not valid
  12. Southampton FC ‏@officialsaints First Team Manager Nigel Adkins has also been talking to Saints Player about #SaintsFC's latest signing: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/20120719/gaffer-looking-to-push-clyne-forward_2264122_2853607
  13. All official now NA interview on OS
  14. Not necessarily. The Cure played in that area last night. That could be an equally good reason to fly over there. In fact could be argued to be a better reason.
  15. Well, Barry Lane hit the first ball of the tournament at the unlikely time of 6:30am this morning. We've heard all the build up, stupid long rough, flooded bunkers, lengthened course etc. Who have you got your money on? Me (we cannot gamble here) I'd have each ways on Mickelson, Franceso Molinari, Tiger. I wouldn't go near Rory or Darren just don't think their heads are right at the moment And outsiders? Ernie, Luke or Justin probably to keep things interesting. But somebody that the General Public have never heard of will make a name for themselves Amazingly, TV Coverage starts down here at 12:30 local and runs until late in the night - pretty unprecedented for us to get that much coverage, TV crews normally do a 5 hour split shift on days 1 & 2 of a tournament and run about 6 hours over the weekend. Looks like the boys in the box (so to speak) get Overtime for this one!
  16. Stop it. Tommy has now shown himself to be far too good for them.
  17. Duh,well of course he did. After all. He makes Messi look Sh1te
  18. Sod Great Whites & Cages, No freaking way. The 4m Black Tip came up to us in Open Water - we were at about 20m with the bottom at about 25. We confirmed it's size with another group who had a video. It approached head on and swam round us twice, close enough to touch. 1st thought? Why did I buy such a small Dive Knife, 2nd? How do I get the brown stain out of a wet suit? 3rd? I am supposed to do something now? Oh yes, breather. 4th? OMG what an amazing creature, I was fine after that until I had to lift my head out the water to get back up onto the dive boat...... Since then I have regularly taken the kids & UK visitors snorkelling with Sharks (biggest while Snorkelling was about 2.5m) but no way I would get in a cage or swim with an Oceanic. DCI's here? no, up in the Musandam we can dive some sunken Oil Tankers where the Bridge is at about 50m but never had a problem. On one dove (Dara again) we had one who got separated from his buddy & ran out of air at about 5m and shot to the surface like a cork out of a bottle. We were worried about him but the BSAC Instructor with us just threw him off the boat with a spare tank and a medic as a buddy to come back up slowly. Saw someone get DCI on a flight back from the Maldives though - idiot BUT getting in a cage? You are having a larf
  19. Security at the Olympics is PR designed to deter on the spur of the moment nutters. It's all about making people think it is impossible and then at the event creating "LAYERS" That is designed to avoid "Embarrassment" but still would not stop a nutter streaking in front of Usain Bolt in the 100m final The REAL security is, as you say, at a level that normal "internet users" have no concept of. Probably between 2 or 3 million software agents or "super viruses" will have been distributed around the email systems, FB & Twitters of the world, Internet Cafes etc. They can detect ANY specific sequence of keystrokes, they can turn on web cams, GPS in mobiles or just tell the authorities the location. The REAL threat is that it is simple to subvert ANY system, but it needs HUMAN couriers and message carriers. Until the nutters work out that airlines record ALL flight information and track people accordingly. Want to get a courier into the UK? Use a frequent flier with a Gold Card out of SA or LAM. Luckily the nutters haven't thought of that Yet
  20. You want to catch up with the UK? Don't worry it will soon be raining there as well Just remember the key words from about 100 pages ago. Chiiny's offered 500k to the creditors. It is CONDITIONAL on the high earners leaving. After 28 days cooling off period he has to Stump up the 500k or walk away. His ORIGINAL offer to TB was that he would ONLY make an offer IF he had exclusivity (ie only him) The Creditors meeting broke up for 30 mins and he said he would NOT be exclusive, meaning ANYONE could come in with a different or better OR unconditional bid within the 28 days.
  21. Got dragged into it when first came here in '93 Simples. Do it. Have dived Sharm, Aqaba (meh rubbish) A zillion times around here - The Musandam OMG yes awesome, swam with a 4 metre long Black Tip Shark & a Pod of 8 Dolphins (that experience changed my life) Barrier Reef - one of the 1,000 things to do before you die Ningaloo Reef, Phuket etc. BUT Of all the places I have been lucky enough to have dived the TWO I regret not doing were Truck Lagoon in Micronesia (yeah right) And Scapa Flow Bunch of lads from here went back to do that. They were truly freaked/humbled/life changed etc So yeah take it up and dive Blighty Oh teck stuff for TDD Ran out of air due to faulty kit at the prop shaft of the MV Dara (biggest loos of life since the Titanic at the time (Google) we only JUST made it out again And best mate got Narked in Sharm and the instructor found him at 50m on a 200m wall dive - mate was heading south and fast My dive instructor had cancer, she went into remission for 6 months and taught my (ex wife) & daughter to dive. She said the ex was the hardest student she had ever had. She sadly passed away 3 months later. I only paid for the course in the hope of meeting that 4m shark again.... Would have saved me a fortune in the divorce
  22. I got mine today. Woo hoo go me & disintegration 1987 or whatever
  23. Well I'll go out on a limb here. I would not be surprised to see the plans going in PROVIDING we look like staying up this year and work starting in the summer of 2013. Not all 18k at once but the work will be planned in stages. NC is not messing around. And, although nobody has really mentioned it much with 180.000 on our database, and the proof even over here in Dubai where we have gone from D_P, EoA & FMDP watching the games to having 30 at the last televised game AND having TWO mega trendy bars AND 2 beer providers FIGHTING to get us to move our "Home to them", the bus is really on a roll.... Something fricking weird is happening
  24. CB & Keeper & my new ST will have been a great investment
