Oh thank God at LAST - true recognition. OK back home at mission control. How many nutjobs are out of the race for the sweepstake? Anyone getting twitchy about their pick?

OK here's one to watch after a few beers. Act of Valor. Some comments. It is a totally unlike anything made before movie. It is a "Real Life" Action drama about a Platoon of Navy Seals. It has a few actors who fill in around the edges. The ACTUAL actors in the movie are? Yup Navy Seals. The plot is VERY loosely "extracted" from a Tom Clancy idea of Mexican Drug Cartel working with "Islamic" terrorists. So you have a movie where the main "actors" cannot actually act they sort of have to be themselves in the Sitting on the beach with families type scenes. So, let's face it in "Critic Mode" The characters are not exactly developed very well. The plot is tenuous at the best - a 4 inch thick Tom Clancy story gets drained down into a shoot em up action flick "concept".... But then the Seals get sent down range. Wow after they get going, you suddenly realise how stupid & stilted the likes of Jason Bourne, James Bond & Tom Cruise et al really are in a proper fire mission scenario. Have to say the scenes were Jaw Dropping - awesome. The moment when the chain guns or the miniguns open up is wowzer. Even with the awesome scenes it still has a bit too much - Computer Game nerdish shots of gun-sights looking around corners as baddies pop out. The use of the Special Forces hardware in the film is also really impressive - The Black Hawks & Sea Stallions etc So, a very different "action" Film. The Grunts ain't ever going to win an Oscar for acting but they sure have set the bar higher for Action scenes It is a really odd one to review, it could so easily have been a total Genre changer, but let itself slip into a bit too much Hoo Yah Gung ho and lost some attention to the basic tenet of movie making - acting. Anyone who plays those shoot em up games? You'll realise the graphics have a long way to go yet:) Is it worth a 3/10 for the poor characterisation/acting or a 9.9/10 for making me dribble soup down my chin when my jaw dropped at the first set of action... Tough call. No I think it was a rubbish film and Awesome Entertainment and yeah, I really enjoyed it and bet it is awesome in 3D

Just to temper the wild celebrations on here at the amazing victory by Team GB last night. It's Ramadan. Our boys will be fasting from Dawn to Dusk, that includes taking on liquids. Think most pub sides would be able to tear an Islamic side a new one during Ramadan. But yes, the locals here understand the significance of the moment of playing at Wembley against "The British", it means a lot to them

In other not entirely unrelated news. I see that life almost imitates this forum. It appears that our Monkey Chickens were very close to reality when we all proposed the petting zoo. Seems that the Zoological Society in London has come to the rescue of the endangered Mountain Chicken Frog. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/wildlife/9435056/Endangered-mountain-chicken-frogs-bred-in-London.html Damn we were so close

Well, I haven't seen in it (still) But in the past couple of days I've met Kiwis, Thais, Yanks, Aussies, and some Germans while over in Bangkok, and not one of them could believe 1) I hadn't seen it and 2) that Brits managed to put something on like that. Each one of them said it was astonishing and had shocked them that "we could still create something like that" I have no idea how to watch it as our local Sat channel that FMDP recorded has some weird split screen thing with 3D going on. Anyone know a link to down-load from?

Ah, so it WAS you I saw there last week. How was Miley?

Well, I DID try. SPent an hour in Baiyoke Sky Tower market yesterday 6 farking floors full of T Sirt shops. Best one I saw was Darth Vader saying Come across to the Dark Side.... We have cookies - which could then have had a PTS crest & WTFILN on it - but they only had Thai Medium - trust me that wouldn't have even gone over Eric's head... AND they were ONLY 2 quid each. Down side is even I would have had to sew 4 together to make it fit! Lot of the old T Shirt places have been redeveloped - is bloody annoying haven't found ANY to buy for myself for normal wear either. Still I git the wedding suits - look great and shoes One last trip now before checking out & heading home. Oh and in related (not) surprising news - I have not been able to find a fake new season kit over here - now THAT is saying something No idea what, but it's something

Well, it would seem that due to the exchange rate over here, the PTS NutJob Budget for each Tee Shirt will have to be Enormous. In fact it will probably have to be at LEAST 100 times the budget that Appy has for the first team. First quote I had was about 10 quid a Shirt..... Although I was very tempted by a clearance sale on very old Tee-Shirts - you know the ones. no money no honey I did (to my AMAZEMENT) find a shop catering to sue's size - I have a pic but right now I have a cold beer waiting after an 8 hour shopping day and I'm NOt spending half an hour uploading it on the crappy innernet connection in the hotel here. Are they dead yet? And when "arry saves them, Matt Slater is gonna be p1ssed he missd

Jeez we're getting better than the Spanish Inquisition. Agents on patrol everywhere Flying time. ROFL at suewhistle - size 16... Not ROFL at your size more the concept that I could find something that size in Pratunam Market or anywhere else in Thailand...

Well nutjobs. I'm in a right conundrum now. Off to Bangkok tonight to try and source some "Official PTS Nutjob" Tee Shirts. We booked the trip WAY back in January when we were sure it would all be over by now. But oh no, another 48 hours, and another another another.. So now do I go for the Toast shirts or the Carrying on in pain. Damn, I hate tough investment decisions. I'll think of something. May have to see if this tapatalk malarky works to put some pics up for a poll. If not you'll just get something suitable according to how many beers I've had

Easy. He rings Jordan Sibley, who has already got Jaidi on the case (as posted earlier today from JS's Twitter account)

Not - hey guys we would like you to start paying every bill by cheque or credit card so that we can save the nation. In here ears and eyes she heard the idiot said "you are a bad person for doing this". Like I said don't get me started on Tax Avoidance schemes Acountants, Expenses for MP's etc LECTURING little retired ladies

I think it is time to revisit an old old saying... He who laughs last laughs longest. Never for one moment thought that they meant one would laugh for years and years and years
