  1. One tip Check online as well but up to about 4pm each day you "have" to take a guided tour. We went there on way from the Salt Mimes and found that after 4pm you could go without a guide. We just got the simple 3 page information sheet and spent our own time going around. Found it FAR more moving away from a herd of tourists
  2. Bonjourno Found a wifi connection! Are they dead yet? (And at 1 Euro per 20 mins I ain't catching up on the last 500 pages!) Oh wedding went perfect btw thx to those who pinged me stuff)
  3. Gotta love FMDP. Been having problems finding wifi access here in Italy. So she drags me all across Rome yesterday and ends with... Here you are this will make you feel better.. I'm looking at a pile of stones. She says - It's The Forum, you can find out if Pompey are Dead yet.
  4. Thank God that NC never met with any Russians who may have tried to make him an offer he could refuse Twice
  5. Oh pap you bastard SPOILER The planet thinks that Tryion could be dead;) FMDP watched it tonight, she HATES blood & gore her only words after were feck me followed by That bloke in the paper was right, that was a stand alone Hollywood epic in one show
  6. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18246845 Been busy, assume you've seen this 7mil accepted
  7. Graci Montepulciano and all that
  8. You know I've had a really sh1t afternoon. Emirates cancelled my holiday flight booking a month ago and had politely forgotten to tell me, seeing it would have left my 78 year old Mum stranded alone in an airport in Italy I got a touch annoyed. Anyway they destroyed my life & I got stressed out. I found a moment to come back on here and two things happened. First Rallyboy posted - ahhhhhhhhh the calming effect of a smile And then - well Stone the Crows, MLG moved from being the forum Nerd to being a true Forum Legend. This thread just never ceases to amaze. I'll drift by occassionally in the next 3 weeks, and TRY and find time to download tapatalk to join in Keep well one and all
  9. Dear Mr Allen. Nice way to blindside your readers. The FL meeting has NEVER been about points deductions. It has been about something FAR more important. Showing the FL that you have a viable business plan that will give you some hope of completing your FIXTURES in the upcoming season. Who gives a toss about Points Deductions if you have to lock the gates at Nottarf in the middle of September. To Fish Fry Bigger Far Rearrange to the inconvenient truth. (No wonder so many of the few "get it" when they are spoon fed such rubbish)
  10. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/tvandradio/game-of-thrones/9295327/Game-of-Thrones-Blackwater-Sky-Atlantic-review.html Crikey, the reviewer called it a Hollywood Epic, & I thought I may have been too gushing in my praise. But... TEN MONTHS WITH NO GoT???? Arrrggghhh
  11. Italian Football Greek Tax Collections FIFA/UEFA turning a blind eye to Common Sense Nothing new, no lessons ever learnt
  12. It occurs to me. For Chinny read Merkel For PCFC read Greece Interesting to see who wins
  13. Woo hoo we are an hour in front of you lot with the show. (Daughter watches it on Tuesday hence my confusion obviously Sky+) It's at 11pm here. (Again another connection - cannot believe PCFC are still going coupled with I can't believe they show the Series with no editing across the entire Muslim World) Both are unbelievable
  14. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/serie-a/9294215/Former-Italy-coach-Giovanni-Trapattoni-says-there-is-some-truth-to-latest-match-fixing-scandal-stories.html Discuss Well it's one team England won't have to lose to
  15. All Chinny is interested in is a simple equation. Does (X-Y)/Z= more than I can get for a Liquidation. X = Income (including PP's) Y=Expenditure Z= Time There, my 1st algebra since 6th Form
  16. If I'd wanted to post spoliers I'd have told you there were bewbs about 1 minute in. oops Watch in peace, you'll see I didn't spoil anything so I changed one word
  17. OK couple of slugs of Scotch and calming down. OK it was clear in the previous few episodes that things were building to a pressure point and tonight we got that. (Yes Pap you were obviously mightily correct) Let's start with "we get Bewbs in the first few minutes" (just for Bearsy) and a show down. (No spoilers from me) The intensity, despair, cowardice, bravery and of course the effects just keep coming. I wouldn't let any kids watch it, and certainly don't let them in the room when you're watching it, I found myself uttering far too many urrrghs and arrrrghs and barfs for anything other than me. In fact Hell, don't let anyone else in the room unless they have been following it or they'll just ask you "do you have to keep saying F** me", or even "why do they keep saying that on TV?" Yeah it had some areas I could pick critical holes at but then I remember it's a TV show not a 100 minute Hollywood movie and the budget they blew on this episode could have no doubt paid for 10 sequels to The Great Escape. This was proper Mens TV. This is what we want. The Exploding Head was awesome and then they did MORE. Absolutely bloody marvellous and the line of the series for Tyrion "F**k Me" (Oh and now I really HAVE to say that Peter Dinklage's portrayal of Tyrion has to be (SO FAR) one of the Strongest characters I have seen on TV in a very long time. That men deserves an Oscar even though it's a TV series
  18. Game of Thrones night here in Dubai on a Monday. (BTW because tdd asked, nothing in this post is a spoiler, if you did not know what had to happen in the last couple of episodes then you haven't been watching as it has been building for 2 weeks) Seemed to me a perfect Analogy. The Dwarf getting stitched up has to lead troops into an Impossible Battle. He knows it's stupid and we know it's stupid, A Dwarf who has never done anything but plot scheme and sh@g has to go up against the cream of the Nation's Knights in Armour. TB going into battle with the FL armed with nothing but a piece of paper and some bullsh1t pretty much the same thing. I realise GOT isn't on until later in the week in Blighty so won't give you any spoilers. But I reckon it's a damned fine analogy and outcome.
  19. OK so it is time for this week's review of GoT. And here it is. **** me That is all, I'm shaking too much
  20. I have quite a few mates who are European (living over there) most of them watched it via streams from the BBC, mainly in order to listen to Graham Norton. Seems they are starting to "Get it" as well. It's car crash Television, nothing else like it in the world. The annual homage to great entertainment moments such as Plan 9 from Outer Space. It's so risibly bad you just have to watch it.
  21. M i n g e Hell Eh?. An appropriate new owner for them.
  22. Didn't matter so much about the gig for him or the result. Example - he was down here couple of months ago struggling to fill a 1500 seat venue. One week before the gig he gets the EV job and whoosh they could have sold it out 5 times over. It was sad what happened nobody deserves that sort of result. But he is back in the public eye with marketing that money could never have bought. Hell, he might just get a final season in Vegas on the strength of "his comeback". Good luck to him, he played it very well from, whatever side you look at it
  23. Precisely. Don't see what the fuss was about with the Court Ruling 2nd June is 4 working days away. How's the business plan going Balu?
  24. But, Strangely......... Wearing our Sash shirts to golf back in Feb and bingo - met 3 of our new Massive who were in the bar after the day's play
  25. Cynical me wonders how all these chicks get the job of reading out the results. Nice frocks tho
