  1. I got that for you when I was there on the Stag weekend a couple of weeks ago, I gave it to you on the way back from Sandance. Don't tell me you lost it FFS
  2. Just a note to those that did go to Twickers, you may have heard mention that we have a massive p1ss up - oops IRB 7's weekend down here always the weekend around 2nd December time. Dig out the air-miles cards or start putting the coins in a big piggy bank, it really is a great weekend and you don't need to understand much about rugby with each match lasting 7 mins each way

Again, sorry. Wrong Be careful in how you generalise. Theological Scholars have been arguing this since the dawn of time The Quran gives a debatable statement
  4. 500k for all the column inches mentions on TV and internet chat that has been generated? Absolute Bargain
  5. It was important enough to have been Tweeted by Saintsfanzone last night and a whole bunch of other fans. Thought it was a minor Historical moment Technically we were still an FL team with P against our name up until the official end of season, as of last night we are an official PL team.
  6. Well, that was shocking. I guess it was the emotional aftermath of that breathless last 4 minutes at Eastlands. But NOBODY noticed a rather IMPORTANT fact. That as the Citeh fans did their Pitch Invasion, the 2011/12 English PL Season officially ended and as a result SOUTHAMPTON finally became official members of the PREMIER LEAGUE. Shame on us!
  7. Women's 7's is vitally important to the future of the 7's around the world. It's gives you the opportunity to go down, have a pee, grab a dodgy burger and a case of beers & be back in your seat without missing any proper 7's rugby. Mind you we did catch Thailand vs Russia one year on the main pitch...............
  8. Never lived in the US. BUT if you have the chance to go and live abroad? GO. You can ALWAYS move back home if it doesn't work out or you don't like it. BUT if you DON'T try it, you may never get the chance again and will end up spending your life wondering. Take the win:win And move out slowly. Go with a suitcase put down roots and THEN move everything else.
  9. Sorry yeah you're right. The D_P sleeping record after a Euro Tour. For Anderlecht it was 48 hours on the lash, Bucharest was more sedate UNTIL after the game when it got a bit random back in the bar at the Hilton and The Salisbury Massive (who were staying there) encounter a bunch of TEFL Brit teachers that ended really not well sort of an "oh sh1t plane leaves in an hour where's my ........" I only slept for about 24 hours after that trip
  10. Lol actually that game may be a lot easier for us lot down here to get to than many others. Etihad sell "all in" packages...... Eric? Smithy? EK Chicks? sounds like a plan....
  11. Which Battle of Rorke's Drift were you in? Behind the goal or up in the stands? Left side or Centre? I remember when they charged us, even had two Blue Rinse little old ladies holding those big OM flags by the pole and whacking the fecks. Motor Bike rider passenger pulled a gun on our driver at some traffic lights on the way to the airport, he just opened his door quick and smacked them and went straight through the red light. Airport was like a war zone some bloke on a drip at check in Anderlecht was so much better, getting the coaches from the Dell, stopping at some Off Licence on the way out, the whole card games on the ferry, an hours' drunken sleep, and a whole day in the pub. Those Purple & white scarves were awesome though, kept mine for years, always seemed to see one at some obscure away game during the rest of that season. Reading this thread did remind me of one thing. After I got home. That was the only time in my life I actually slept through an entire day and a night. Think I was out cold for about 38 hours. Just beat Bucharest and the whole Salisbury Saints in the Hilton & School Teachers after the match
  12. Sent a Citeh mate a txt right on the whistle that simply said Lol. He replied. Piece of cake, we still had 5 seconds left. That sort of summed it up. BUT bit disappointed. I mean, we were all SOOOOOOOO hoping to be given a Bank Holiday down here tomorrow Thank GOD
  13. Having to listen & BBC guy having trouble even speaking
  14. HAHAHAHAHA at Mancs
  15. Oh now it gets interesting
  16. ROFL stream quality is appalling only got 20 seconds of the game so far and it was the 2nd goal. Feel bad for my mate he's in a pub in Switzerland wearing his Noblot shirt he must have been through hell this pm
  17. My best mate runs a company that is building the "stadium" He has two all area passes We are negotiating his requirements between an on site Erection Specialist and a Hardware Engineer. Erection Specialist (co-incidentally) is also the name he uses for his Scaffolding Engineers
  18. OK and so HOW do they pass the FAPP? Are they going to show PLEDGES to the FL as PROOF of their ability to fund their operations next season? And where in all of that is a CVA vote to accept nothing, nada zero? All before the FL meeting (on around 2nd June)?
  19. Yes. Strangely. The core GCC countries Oman Kuwait Bahrain UAE Qatar & Saudi have always run pretty much fixed rate exchange systems, against the dollar (for obvious reasons as they are primarlily Oil Exporters paid in Dollars (ORLY?) For us the dollar:dirham rate has been 3.653 certainly since I came here 19 years ago. That has had all sorts of ups and downs for us importing inflation and the like Kuwait was the only one who switched to peg against a basket of currencies BUT and here is the rub, WHY have a single currency when you don't have a single market. EU had all the rest of the baggage - harmonisation, labour laws etc, down here Saudi itself cannot even harmonise what Electricity system it uses - half is US 110v and half is EU 220V. Each "City State" or Emirate here has different rules on behaviour, dress codes, alcohol, business operations. There simply is not the freedom of movement of people and goods that you have in EU. They TALK about it every year or so and have a "roadmap" but they also have that for Customs Tarrifs and the like. You really aren't going to get the smaller countries being told by Saudi how to run their economies (why? Well Saudi lent money to Sharjah - which used to be a right old party town - Sharjah developed itself but HAD to impose strict Sharia Law (no booze for one) The UAE is building a sustainable future based on Tourism, they have seen the problems Qatar are having if you try and build Tourism & property (and World Cups) and then don't allow booze liences. So yes it could work, just far too much "stuff" in the way WHICH is exactly what the case was in the EU way back, just that the luvvies beat the living hell out of anyone who tried to argue against it or even raise up reasons why it wouldn't work

Uh No. Think you will find a few Muslims and Hindus around the world that may disagree with that comment
  21. Rat a tat a tat But also a special mention to Tulips from Amsterdam. Oh those were the days, Soooooooooooooooo much more creative than a zillion versions of Sloop John B
  22. Ah CBF again reverting to insults Such intelleuctual debating technique. He has a point of view as does MLG. Anyone want to bet a fiver on who eventually is shown to have won this golden thread in 5 years time? Must be able to get a price somewhere.
  23. Hmmmmmmmmm
  24. So clock watchers how many days do the trust have left? To convert the pledges into hard cash? SURELY TB is not going to go to the Creditors with just PLEDGES? IF end of May is really the time to live or die, the Trust have only got 18 days to turn those pledges into REAL cash. So, considering many have loans involved, has ANYONE bothered to start sending out the paperwork? Let's assume 3 days for a cheque to clear, 3 days for paperwork & credit checks to be completed. They have 12 days left.
