  1. As witnessed on my recently reported Stag trip (which some took offence to) when a German Stag party came up and said "Vot iz ziss song u sing vith zee hands round zee eyes? They REALLY could not understand why we fell off the benches in the beer hall when they did the whole Dambusters thing
  2. Just think back to the days when William Hague (not defending him as a Politician and I never listened to him - he was just an eloquent opponent) and others made speeches against the Euro and the world let rip on him. There have been some very good press articles in the past year digging up old speeches that led to people losing their careers because they dared to question the infrastructure behind the Euro or even the "commitment" to fiscal "compliance". In concept the Euro is fantastic for any of us not in it or doing biz there, but you cannot build a Tower Block on no foundations. Delors should be jailed for being an idiot
  3. So with you on that. I've made a whole career out of stereotypes. The stupid thing is the Germans don't think anyone has noticed WHY they want to keep the Euro going

    Marriage

But seriously. Me & FMDP are REALLY happy. In Blighty or Polski we would be happily together in a "Civil Law' Implied marriage. Down here? That doesn't work. You are not married you cannot have sex let alone live together. That all adds a different level to the whole question. Do I need to be "Compliant" or do I really actually want this person to journey through the 6 months I have left on this planet? Oh, and what's the issue about the 500 chicks. Isn't it more fun when the future chick is with you and says - which 10 do you fancy? OK go on then. BUT I'm going to this gay show bar with my friends on my Hen and I will have 500 naked guys to look at..................................... Chicks like looking at fleash as well - that screws MOST blokes over Specially as it usually means YOU have to go with HER to the naked guys bar Damn equality is a b1tch
  5. Another total propaganda lie. They pay the hotel staff to put their towels down 20 minutes BEFORE sunrise
  6. Life is a sh1t sandwich. How good it is depends on the thickness of the bread. God I miss bread - on a diet b4 daughters wedding, since Sandance last Friday Beer Spuds & Bread are banned Arrrrrrrgh But, on the upside 3kg lost in a week & can still drink a large Scotch each evening
  7. The only people who do not think the Euro is screwed are Jacques Delors & his mates. The Germans are desperately trying to SAVE the Euro because without it a BMW 3 series basic would be cost half a million quid Oh yeah they had productivity gains - no **** sherlock when they were pegged to the same currency level as Olive farmers in the Algarve THEY are the beneficiaries of the Euro and they don't give a damn about the poor PIIGS REALLY don't like Camoron, but his refusal to sign the "economic pact" and standing up to Merkosy is starting to look almost Churchillian (which is a worry)

    Marriage

Marriage. I'm pretty sure that was invented by women. Somehow it seems to be all their rules. How does that transfer to Gay Marriage? Ouch no ow no sorry NO not THAT OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW Marriage is a wonderful thing, a unity of two soul mates journeying through life together
  9. Just had an evening power watching 1st 4 episodes of Missing Ashley Judd & Sean Bean Faults - sorry Ashley but you ain't no 30 year old and Sean - you're American accent sounds a horrid mix of Oxford Australian. The original plot has clearly been made more bleedin' obvious for an American audience (I blame Ohio for that) But, getting away from that and the size of their willy rivalry between Interpol & The CIA and (TBH some really glaringly obvious plot twists) it is a damned good romp filmed in some great locations (for the Yanks) Rome, Paris, Ravello, Prague & Moscow It ain't House let alone GoT but it's decent old fashioned "Spy Thriller" entertainment when you want to switch the brain off.
  10. ok so back to the point of the argument. Next year is simply about staying up and laying foundations for "consolidation" think that is a no brainer for everyone. There is nothing new in that - it is what Lowe did - live from one Dividend & Shareholders meeting to the next. Now from ALL the public statements and decisions taken to date, it is clear there is no short term view being taken when it comes to major decisions. So The 5 Year Plan can quite easily have a mission statement that says. We will aim to achieve a level which would bring CL football to Southampton. It is a MISSION STATEMENT, it makes sure you have a context in which to analyse a business decision. It is NOT saying we will be in the CL in 5 years, only 2 posters have said that, it got blurred by people who cannot read The FIRST 5 years would have targets - Are we going to stay up? Do we need to keep some budget for January just in case? How much to replace NA & the team to keep us up IF they really cannot hack it? How many new shorts training kits bags boots balls etc will we sell now we have gone up? Then as discussed how fast do we sell out/ How many could we have sold last week? what is the average away following of Sunderland/Villa as well as the big clubs, what is the average number of away fan tickets we COULD sell, what was the average demand each week for Away fan tickets And of course the big one - do we have a waiting list? Those questions can be asked weekly, monthly or at the end of the season, the plan would then say oh we need a bigger stadium (demand shows it is there or it is NOT there. THEN the question is how many seats do we need now? What would we have to do to make that trend continue? Again revisit the OTHER question, do we have the resources and momentum and the crowd to keep progressing? It is at THIS TIME that the BIG decisions need to be made - 2, 3 or 4 years down the line. IF we are krap then of course it is not discussed
  11. Hmmmmmm
  12. So you advocate a plan then? Set criteria to judge demand against capacity at which point you would then activate a plan to (in this case) expand the stadium. By your eckoning that would take two years. So what type of expansion would that then be? Where does the plan look after that. Would you build 14k in one go would that be the limit then? Forever? What would happen if the roadmap & demand continued to grow over time, it would be as daft a decision to spend out on 14k when it was not enough as it would be if it was too much? Or would you look for a plan that (for example) could give you 6k quickly and the option to add 20k in stages over time?
  13. pearce to Leeds for about 50 quid All the loanees have come back apart from the bench warmer at wet sham but they could be after Robinson so he may not get a move after all
  14. The ref for the home game was a well renowned "hates the English type" is the best description I can recall. The dodgy decisions in that home game led to a level of hatred towards him (certainly from under West Stand that I still remember to this day and have never come across since Apparently like many others on here I am told I went to the away leg. I recall getting on a bus and then everything went blank apart from a horrible stench from a Sewer truck in Ghenk (I think) and I sort of recall most of our coach suddenly group chundering
  15. Yawn. So don't come then, we won't miss you. Now, what was that about Slave labour, I guess the UK wasn't built on it either then prior to 1833, and today you don't buy any Sports Goods never kick a football or buy any Apple devices?
  16. This debate was over pages ago. CBF clearly won through his massive intellect. I look forward next year to digging out a flat cap and standing ankle deep in Urine next to people wearing raincoats and scarfs. Nothing ever changes
  17. One has to ask however why Fat Sam would let a "very good keeper" leave on a free in order to sign a "very good keeper on a free"..... Is it simply money or is it that one of them may not be as |very good a keeper" as some believe
  18. Damn, rumbled after all these years.
  19. I'm in Think we need more muscle though, Sibley has a bit of a thing with Neil Allen, think a tweet from him with a link to how to pay PCFC's charity bill might help
  20. Yeah like everyone wants to read my life story. No really like everyone DOES want to read my life story. The book will come out one day Saddam, my part in his Downfall
  21. Pardew put the building blocks in place for our further successes. Of that there can be no doubt and we were extremely lucky to have got him at that time. Every Saints fan should bless him for that. However he had also reached the end of his time with us, the mumblings about Plan B's and inconsistent results were spreading out from match day thread stereotypical over reactions. He had also possibly due to his greater experience, failed to see just what the whole "Positive Attitude for Dummies" book would really mean around the club and his relationship with NC appeared to become a problem. I think the JPT final while tinpot was something he saw as really important in creating a winning mentality in the team and MORE importantly us fans after so many years of hanging on and then failure. I think we let him go at the right time, I think Newcastle have been the beneficiaries of that and of course we have then gone on to become better and better (to date) under one of the best young managers in the game. Well done AP and thank God you went when you did and Newcastle have been the beneficiaries of that. The big man upstairs smiled on both us in that particular journey, so I congratulate him on his success (and luck in finding Demba Ba of course) Would still be funny if they come 4th & Chelsea beat Bayern though
  22. Booo FAIL http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2765022,00.html We ONLY have 24,577 fans Following Saints official feed on Twitter. We clearly need to convert 8,000 seats into Corporate boxes at SMS then Makes us a paltry 18th in England Sibley OUT!
  23. I can understand that sort of thing happening the first time around. BUT Considering the storm that created first time AND considering the efforts that many of their real fans went to in order to pay much of that off, the FACT that it was allowed to happen again is really really astonishing. Oh how we were mocked. Oh how us nut jobs kept pointing out THINGS WERE NOT RIGHT Oh how we had the Head of Compliance rubbed in our faces. This deserves to be the final straw. DFCSB's should now be a term forever associated by EVERY football fan in the world with that stain on humanity. Start Tweeting Miss Sillycow everyone & her boss Camoron - You believe something like THIS should be SAVED?
  24. No doubt our email inboxes are about to be swamped by even more spam. Yippee
