The Wailers played an afternoon set down here at our last (not NYE) Sandance on the beach. They were absolutely superb. Their singer is the dogs xxxxxxxs just 45 minutes/an hour of the greatest hits to sing a long to. -

Hmmm Radiophonic Workshop. Does that mean we can get to see the Dr Who theme song played live? Strangely there are actually some acts in that list that I have heard of before in fact some I've seen before (which in this cultural/musical desert is quite a surprise) Dolly Parton, Bryan Ferry, Robert Plant............................... Time to start the pre Glasto You Tube evenings methinks on quite a lot of those -

Paid for tickets, skipped on the bottles. At least I have an excuse - Luggage Allowance We're hitting Provence the week before with a mini tent & camping/touring for a week on the way to UK (fly from here to Nice then old BA Airmiles to UK then home here after Glasto actually cost 80 quid each LESS than a return to UK (bloody APT fees) So we only get 23kgs each and so are travelling really light.... Meanwhile some up to date Acts & comments http://www.theguardian.com/music/2014/apr/04/kasabian-pixies-skrillex-glastonbury-festival-2014 -
Oh wow, hey gang there's this really cool new TV series just started up over here. HBO so it kinda had bewbs in it quite early on. Anyway it seems to be like really kind of deep. Almost the sort of thing that was a movie in the days when they wrote Original stories for movies or didn't send Sandra & George up to the ISS to make films. So anyway you guys should keep an eye open for it. I've googled the stars and they could go on to be quite big actors. Apparently from the name it's a true story about Detectives. True Detectives or something. Well worth keeping an eye open for.

So, own up. How many of you have ordered the Metal "Free Refills" Water Bottle for 10 quid with your ticket payment then? -
Fair point in the OP about Man U being so "70's". In fact we commented on it while watching in the Pub last night. Who the hell plays a straight 4-4-2 these days? Does Moyes have Mike Bassett on permanent loop at home? I get the media saying he needs time but to see them playing such woeful out of date football - was kind of like watching England at the last World Cup.
-
Lol - So the Bridge in the car chase is at Meydan (Horse Race Place) Tom jumps out and chases the man into Satwa (8kms away in 2 Seconds)..... But nah we tough it out and play Golf in it. (Tim - NOBODY has had tassles on their Golf shoes since about 1980 something - you still at home listening to Culture Club albums & driving a Mk1 VW Golf GTI? #jealous) Then we get home and spray brown coloured crud out of our noses for about 4 days.

Tough, nasty, it matters not. Visionary, lunatic, it matters not. I said time and again he was a complete c\/nt but he was our c\/nt. Most of what he implemented were the ideas of the team at Stoneham and those left in an office drawer by Andrew Cowen and the back office team. Again, none of that matters. What matters is that SOMEHOW everything he did, everyone he upset, ever idea he found, borrowed or "possibly stole" worked. His decisions although often so wrong were often so right. Clearly he was out of control and had to be reined in, so for me he was put in a position were he was resigned. However. After the Lowe years and the Imbecile years of the Execs then going Wilde, what the Club needed was Singlemindedness to a point of Bloodymindedness. It worked. Luckily none of us will ever have the chance to stand next to him in a Gents Bathroom and give him a piece of our mind. Nor will we ever have to sit with the guy for a Dinner event. It worked. His time was done. He is as important a part of how we got (back) to this new Dawn as Rupert, Wigley, The Dutch idiots or Johno Quick & Nige. They all played a part. What matters now is the future. What matters now is Adam Luke and others staying long enough so that the NEXT generation of Stars from the Academy can come through and keep us being the next Green Bay Packers...... (Just to annoy Turks I bumped into Clattenberg in that situation on Saturday and am not proud of being so rude)

A Ryder Cup ST is 500 quid for the week inc Practice days Good deal. (Some people of Global Importance in the world of golf don't need to pay of course) . My mate's fees for the Creek at 6 GRAND a year so a bargain. Oh I confess I hit a lame approach to the 18th this afternoon and flopped it into the water. Damnation

I've had grief from the gang down here when I've said he's my player of the Season. He is Mr Dependable - kind of the modern era Nick Holmes. Obviously I understand Lovren, AL & JRod's claims to the PotS award but like others said above, he is often under-rated, not just by many of our fans but by the media et al.
-
^ *like* Had a free round at Abu Dhabi National last Monday then a free hour on Trackman - wow that is one neat piece of kit. Everything now is about Smash Factor, Angle of Attack & Club Head Speed instead of "Keep 'yer bloody head still".. Playing The Creek this afternoon. How is Gleneagles looking? all ready for their big week in September yet?

All part of cunning mind games. Every "big" club in the PL will be trying to sign AL & Luke in the summer. The Club use Gareth Bale as the idea and tell them to forget about the 30mil deal this summer, stay, continue to improve, play for England and then bugger off to Barca or Real the following year for 60/80 mil each............. -
Did someone mention Golf?

Also the cancelling of contracts of some from Hammond, Sharp, Fox, Barnard and others as well don't forget.
